Is this a bad time? We were thinking the 19th-24th. It is regular season. I just don't want to go if it will be crowded. Last year we went January 5th-8th. It was pretty crowded and January isn't supposed to be crowded. I guess a lot of people decided to extend their Christmas break. If it will be worse than that.... well, it isn't worth it. Does anyone know what Disneyland is like the end of March? The only rides scheduled to be closed are the train and Splash Mountain. The train saves feet, but... Well, we can do without it. LOL

Hi, I am going the week of March 12-March 16. I will let you know how busy it is.

Late March and Early April will be spring break time and DLR will be busy. Now if that makes it "bad", it depends on your perspective.

You can tell how crowded DLR expects it to be by looking at park hours and entertainment. When hours are longer and entertainment is more frequent, DLR is expecting bigger crowds. From the DLR website you can see that park hours are somewhere between maximum and minimum during your stay, and entertainment is towards the minimal. From that I would say DLR is expecting moderate crowds that week.

Once you get to the weekend (Mar 23-24) the hours and entertainment are at the maximum (except for Fantasmic which is closed until May). Hence DLR is expecting it to be pretty crowded on that weekend. But that is not unusual for weekends.

We will be going on 3/19-3/21. I expect it will be busy (moderate crowds). It's at the start of Spring Break for some school districts and colleges.

I think that the 2-3 weeks following 3/18 will be busier because more schools seem to have spring break during the last week in March and into the first 2 weeks in April, but that is only a guess on my part.......the week of 3/18 may turn out to be just as busy. The weekdays (3/19-3/23) are not blocked out for AP holders, though, and I hear this means Disney doesn't expect full capacity crowds.

This time of the year is always going to be busy as it is when the so-cal 2-fer tickets are available making it by one day at one park get another day at the other free promotion is afoot. Plus the spring break schedules vary form school district to school district and from track to track so it is some one's break always between 3/1 & easter.

I booked our trip at the end of December. We have gone over the weekend of March 18th for the last 2 of 3 years. It is our older daughters birthday. We were unable to have availability at the hotel we wanted that long ago. We are going a week earlier now.

I do check the anaheimoc.org and they have the usual spirit competition the weekend of the 18th. Loud girls but not too bad. We have more people listed at the convention center on the weekend before but it is for the b-ball tournament and natural products convention. I am not sure of their disney attendance but the spirit teams seem to all go.

Last year it rained in the evening 3 of the nights and was a bit cold but we are Washingtonians and used to that.

Usually it's not terrible, but I think Splash might be still be closed then. Hopefully that won't be a trip ruiner.
