We're thinking about heading to Disneyland over February break and are wondering about the weather. The kids have been to Disney World so I know the weather in FLorida is hit or miss in February but I have no idea as to what the weather is like in Feb in CA. Has anyone been there in Feb? Crowds? Ride closures?
Thanks for your help!

We went in Feb 2010. We live in Northern Canada so we found it warm.We wore jeans and t shirts during the day and a hoodie at night. It did rain as it is California's rainy season ;)
Crowds are light except during Presidents Day weekend and the week after I believe.
Closures will be in effect. The Rivers of America were drained when we went, so we missed everything on the water. However we were there for 6 days and I still didn't see everything. It was our first Disney vacation.
I think february is a lovely time to go. The trees and flowers were starting to bloom and your in Disneyland. What could be better:cool1:

Sidenote:Yes feb 2010 was very rainy in So Cal and there was a lot of damage from mudslides. However out of our 8 days in DL only one was very rainy and we just put on raingear and still had a blast.:woohoo:

We live in Northern Canada too and were there the first week of February 2011. We had no rain and basically no lines. We wore capris and t -shirts during the day and jeans and a light fleece at night. I thought it was a perfect time to visit. All of critter country was closed, as was star tours but overall it was great.

Feb is typically one of the wettest months of the year and those of us who live here appear to be allergic to rain and complain over every little drop.

Kidding aside the weather is usually fine. Generally high's in upper 60's and low's in the low 50's. Just check the forecast before leaving and adjust accordingly. A benefit of the rain is the day after is beautiful, as it cleans out the smog.

Feb is slow season. Crowds are low during the week and moderate on the weekends and holiday's. The negative about off season is refurbs. Expect multiple rides to be down for refurbishment.

We visit every February or March :goodvibes
Weather is generally very nice, but rain is possible. I always bring rain gear, but have only needed it once in the last several years :wizard:

Many shows only run on Friday, Saturday, Sunday (Fireworks, Fantasmic, Parades) - so include a few weekend days in your trip and carefully plan what shows you plan to watch.

There are always a few ride closures in the off season, but we visit often enough it's no big deal. I would not recommend February for a "once in a lifetime" trip

We were there last February (around Valentine's Day) and the weather was pretty decent. We were wearing short sleeves and light pants most days. I think it only rained the last day. Being from the Seattle area, we're pretty used to the rain. I was pleased to see that the rain we did experience didn't last very long, unlike here where it often rains all day.

Critter Country was closed but I can't think of anything else we missed. Crowds were manageable.

We had a trip planned last February, but were rained out. Since we live in So Cal, it was easy for us to check the forecast, and then we simply changed our hotel reservation (to March instead) when we saw that it was going to rain both days we had planned to be there.

As a previous poster said, many of us Southern Californians are allergic to rain :confused3 It's not worth it for me to go in the rain when I live so close and can just go when it's not raining. But that's just me :)
