Hi,

I have a mate going to sidneyland for a day next week, can someone please plan an itinery for him based on going on the rides and seeing the shows> I am not sure what is up or down so i thought i would leave it to the experts to plan a commando day...

Cheers

What day, in the off season there is a major difference between mon-thrus and Fri-Sunday.

Also, is it more important to ride rides or to see shows?

He hasn;t decided what day yet, so for both types would be good. I want him to experience the magic!

Well, for either weekdays or weekends RideMax may be helpful.

If your mate visits for only a single day, IMO he/she should visit DL and not DCA.

If he visits on a weekday before mid-November, there is a good chance entertainment options will be limited. Between mid-November and New Years the entertainment options are increased on weekdays. So here is a tip: If your mate is visiting when there is full entertainment on weekdays, your mate should visit on a weekday as it is less crowded than weekends. Exception is Thanksgiving week Nov. 18-14 and Christmas week.

In any case, if the day your mate visits has full entertainment, I would suggest seeing the Fantasmic show. It is often possible to also see the RDCT fireworks show which, IMO, is better than Fantasmic but is risky because it gets cancelled too frequently due to winds. So Fantasmic is a better bet.

After mid-November, the fireworks will not be RDCT but be Holiday-based.

If there is no Fantasmic or fireworks, then your mate may want to see a parade as that will be the only remaining option for entertainment.

Now, what about rides? Well, we could go into a discourse here. RideMax can help with that for minimal time investment by your mate. We could tell your mate to learn to use Fastpass, to arrive early, and to do Fantasyland first and the fast loaders like POTC and HM later. But in general RideMax will provide most of this with much less reading on his part.
