Concerning Disneyland (California) for July 23, 2007:

What time does the park open in the morning?
What time does it close in the evening?

My wife and I have one day to spend at Disneyland and will be heading to the airport that night. We want to use the day to its fullest, but also need to arrange our ride to the airport so I need to know what time the park closes to have our ride pick us up at that time.

Thank you,
Rob

the hours for DL are 8:00 am - 12:00 am. my suggestion would be get there as early as possible and stay as late as possible. i'm actually going to be there a few days before you and will only be there (DL) for 1 day and leaving to go to a friend's wedding very early the next morning, so I'm going to open and close DL. i looked at everything the park has to offer and i made a list of everything that i have to get done so that way i know i'll be getting the most out of the park - you may want to do the same.

best of luck to you and i hope you have a magical time :)

Thank you much.

Hi Ho, Hi Ho, it's off to writing a plan I go... Speaking of which...

Is it possible to do the main park and California adventure in one day? We are looking at whether to get a one park ticket or a hopper ticket. We will have the full day 8 to 12.

Thank you,
Rob

It depends on if you've been to either park before. If you never have you'll probably want to see everything in Disneyland and won't have time for California Adventure.

However, if you mainly will to on the major attractions only and see the parade then visiting both parks is quite easy to do unless lines are mega long. Use FastPass!

Disneyland Resorts is much different than Disneyworld. You won't take up part of your day just going from one park to the other. The two parks are right across a central plaza, 2 minutes walk tops. Downtown Disney and the 3 Disney hotels are also right next to the parks.

The biggest problem I see is the high price for a 1 day hopper pass. Too bad you don't have more time as the price drops considerably especially if you buy passes elsewhere.

Thank you

You mentioned "the price drops considerably especially if you buy passes elsewhere". We will be arriving the evening before and could look around for such tickets if they are for sale near Disneyland.

Questions:
1. What type of cheaper tickets are available, or better asked "Where"?
2. Is there any advantage to buying online to waiting and buying at the gate (in which case we could look around for cheaper tickets)?

Thank you,
Rob

It's not easy to get any discount on a 1 day pass. Disney discounts the 3 or more day pass online but not a 1 or 2 day pass.

Costco sells a Southern California pass that includes 3 hopper passes to Disneyland Resorts, 1 day to Sea World, 1 day to Universal and 1 day each to San Diego Zoo and Wild Animal park for $210.

If you buy and print your own tickets online then you don't have to wait in the ticket booth lines. You go straight to the gate. So even if you don't save money it's worth it. During the summer the booth gates can get long.

You can save money on tickets by buying them at your hotel as long as it is a Disney parterned hotel. Most hotels in a 1 mile radius of Disneyland are but call and check. Again, little to no savings on a 1 day.

Check www.mousesavers.com for any current disneyland or area hotel discounts.
