Disneyland Hotel - Which Tower?

Initially, I had requested Fantasy since I understand that's where all the shops are located. However, it looks like Adventure has the best chance of a decent view. I'd also ideally like a room with double sinks, a pull out sofa and the toilet in the separate room. Is that just a crap shoot?

Not sure of your odds in one tower over the other, but we were in Adventure tower and that's exactly what we got.

Something to keep in mind though is that they are supposed to start tearing up parts of DTD this year. Rooms on that side of the Adventure Tower will not have as great a view once that gets under way.

Like @mom2rtk, the room you are after is what we got in the Adventure tower (5th floor standard). Not sure when construction starts but I agree that you or may not want to be in the Adventure tower during that time period.

I've stayed in all three and the Adventure Tower is my favorite for standard rooms by far. Fantasy tower would be my second choice. I don't care enough to pay more for a view at the Disneyland Hotel, so I almost always get a standard room. I think that the Adventure Tower has a limited number of these, so it might be difficult to get a request for a standard room satisfied there.

Fantasy tower has the gift shops and character meet-n greets in the lobby. :hyper2:
Adventure tower DTD view will not be too nice once the construction starts.:sad2:
The South tower is Quietesto_O
We have had parking lot views, DTD views, & pool views. I recommend the pool view. We usually book a standard room. At check-in we always request a pool view if possible. Most of the time we receive the pool view upgrade at little or no extra cost. :yay:

We actually like the Frontier tower. We usually luck out and get a 14th floor room, which means a balcony! Standard rooms are lower though. They are usually the 2-5th floors. If you get a low floor on the Adventure tower, and face DTD, you get the band noise until 11pm. It can be annoying if you are trying to sleep.

In the past I've always disliked getting the Frontier tower, but I took myself and 3 of my girls (plus a grandson) for my birthday in late January. Because there were 2 teens, 2 adults and 1-year-old, I booked a suite. And wow, it WAS sweet! Like Malcon10t said, it was on the 14th floor (snicker, as it's one of those hotels that doesn't have a floor 13) and had balconies in both rooms. That was a little ironic, since this was the one trip I didn't really want a balcony due to the 1-year-old. Still, the views were phenomenal and included the pool and hotel as well as vistas of the parks and beyond. It was also well located for Trader Sam's :) The last time I stayed in Frontier, the hotel was configured a little differently and it felt like you were far away from the main parts. It didn't feel that way this time at all. I was very pleasantly surprised, but I still don't think I'd like the parking lot side of that tower.

Frontier is our favorite, the higher the better.

You have a decent chance of getting a nice view in the corner rooms.

We were walking around the hotel grounds on Sunday and were just thinking that it is going to be sad when construction starts, especially since the view from CL will never be the same. We live an hour away so we rarely stay there, but it definitely has some fond memories. Have stayed in all 3 towers and Adventure CL was our best stay ever, pricey yes, but we got upgraded to POTC suite which was amazing!

Does anyone know when construction is expected to start?
