Hello, my parents will be taking a trip to Disneyland this June and are trying to decide between the DLH and PP. My dad will have a scooter. My mom will not but she has some trouble walking very long distances without a break. Which one of these hotels provides the easiest or shortest distance to both Disneyland and California Adventure? Price between the two is not an issue. The Grand California Hotel is not available for their dates. We're simply looking for the best ease of access to the parks. Thank You.

Hi.

You'll want to post on the Disneyland board.

I'm pretty sure they will tell you an offsite or good neighbor hotel will be closer. I know when we went and I was 7 months pregnant they recommended an offsite.

We took the offsite advise but stayed at a Marriott suites because we got a killer deal. It was about 3 blocks to main gate. We were basically across the street from Disney overflow parking. I know there are closer but ask them for good hotels closer. They have opinions.

The Marriott we stayed at was ok, but had a GREAT breakfast buffet. Important when my pregnant self couldn't decide on a meal.

They are both easy to access the parks but I would pick Disneyland hotel as there is better direct access versus a small street crossing. Have fun !

Disneyland Hotel will be easier. But both are walking distance. It is an easy walk down downtown disney to both parks.

There are, in fact, off-site hotels that are as close to the gates as the DLH and closer than PP. If they really want to stay on-site, the DLH is probably the easier to access, although the Best Western Park Place Inn or the Tropicana or Carousel or one of the other hotels in that area are just as easy. The difference is between crossing Harbor Blvd to access the main plaza and crossing DTD to access the main plaza. Some times of day crossing DTD is actually harder.

For access only either will work. At PPH they will have to either cross the road and go threw gch or cross the parking lot to a sidewalk that connects to dtd, that was easier than the street for me. It is only shorter from dlh if you are in the dream tower, but they changed the name. As for room access, I think PPH would be easier, to me rooms are bigger and more efficient but I am blindso maybe not. PPH is all one building, dlh is three. And much bigger. I will say even if gch does open up don't take it, rooms are much smaller and to many curves in hallways, much less access.
