I need some advice my husband ,myself and 2 children 15 and 13 are planning on staying at one of these hotels 24th - 28th aug 2014. I am not sure on which one to pick. At least one of those days we will be going into Paris and at the end of the trip we will be going to Barcelona. Thanks for your help.

Hi from Perth!

I've recently booked Hotel New York for 10 -14 October 2014; we're tacking the trip onto 3 weeks in England, arriving by Eurostar before flying out of CDG. We booked via the UK website and got 2 nights, 2 nights free. I wanted to go with one of the better hotels as this is the one and only time we'll ever go to Disneyland Paris but there was a £600 difference between a plaza room at HNY and Disneyland Hotel room and I just couldn't justify that!

We're also planning on taking the train into Paris one of the days, have found heaps of great info on here so am sure we can find our way around the RER/Metro without taking an official tour :)

What is the price difference between the hotels, that would be what swings it for me as they are both similar. The DLH has the location but it is usually quite expensive. The HNY has a better pool and it has an outdoor pool too which comes in handy during the summer.

I stayed at the disneyland hotel last year for my Birthday and really enjoyed it but this visit we stay at Hotel New York and I loved it. I was very worried it wouldn't seem Disney enough but it most certainly was. Fantastic pool with great hot tub, steam room and sauna, lovely bar area and very short walk to the park.
I've stayed at all the hotels now and would now always pick HNY (even thinking of going for xmas next year) However if it was a special occasion I'd go with DL.

The Disneyland Hotel is great for a special occasion but otherwise it's the location that pushes its price up, the New York is the same standard. Given that it's the summer you'll be there, I'd pick the New York as they have a lovely outdoor pool, the pool in the DLH was a huge let-down for me.

Just stayed two nights at the Disneyland Hotel for our mother/daughter trip! Location, location, location! :-). Food was extremely expensive in the hotel, but the too. Was beautiful and the proximity to train station and all the attractions was fantastic! We didn't have time to use pool, and had to fit everything into 2 1/2 days, but we loved the hotel!
