Disneyland Hotel Vacation package

I was reading on Mousesavers.com that with a vacation package at the Disneyland hotel you get a free lanyard and PIN for each person, I also read that if you book using your Disney Visa, you get a free backpack. Can anyone confirm this information, and is this only if you use Small World Vacations to book it, or would you get this if you booked directly through Disney? It doesn't really say on Mousesavers if it is a Travel Agents package or not. I just wondered if anyone knew about this information. thanks!

You get it even if you book through Disney Vacations. The lanyards are Star Wars themed at least that is what I was told.

You can compare to what they offer through Disneyland directly by going here https://disneyland.disney.go.com/vacation-packages/resort-hotel-package/. I'd do a price comparison if you're interested in a package. I've often gotten the best deal through Costco, but you can try AAA, Disney, Last Minute Travel and others.

It is usually a lot cheaper to book everything separately yourself, but not always. Sometimes you get gift cards and character meal vouchers that sweeten the deal on a package.
