Here at the Disneyland Hotel and loving it. All rooms available now are renovated. So no more worries about the old rooms. The Monorail Slide and stuff in the middle will open in about 6 days.
It sounds like from the OP no old rooms are left. Which is probably correct because 2/3 of the towers are done. And they are working on the last tower so those old rooms are in the transition and not available.
We're going next week for the weekend (Memorial Day weekend) because my daughter has a dance competition there (great rates, btw). Hopefully the remodeled pool will be open by then, but I have been reeading on other sites that the reopening may be delayed for CM training (it is more complex than what the Imagineers thought it would be (complex=safety issues)).

I saw that too, but think that was the worst part of the article. Al is an ok writer but his expertise ends there. So take what he wrote with a big grain of salt.
That is hard to say. Right now, it is cold and raining in Southern California, and it is supposed to be in the mid to high 80's by the end of next week. June is a funny month. We usually get our "June Gloom" where it is overcast and cool in the early part of the day, with the sun breaking through by the end of the afternoon.
I am booked through DVC and there was only point cat. for premium or standard view. They actually upgraded us for free to premium view and we got a giant king bed room (corner room) so its pretty awesome.

I posted elsewhere info from Disney on pool opening 25 May. It was sent to me 5/14, and of course is subject to change, but I think you have a good time margin.
So fingers crossed!
