Hello everyone, Although my family and I have been to Disneyland a whole lot of times. This will be the first time staying at the Disneyland Hotel. We are going in July and have requested a downtown disney view. Which I hear will probably be in the dream tower since the magic tower faces neverland pool and wonder tower is closer to paradise pier. I also hear that they are renovating the dream tower is this the case? Does anyone know the status of the tower renovations? Are the new rooms nice. Do people prefer the old style rooms? Is there a certain room that I should request? Any help would be wonderful. Thanks everyone. July can't get here fast enough.

Hi.
From what I understand and was told, the Dreams Tower should be finished by the end of June. The new rooms are supposedly beautiful. I do not know if you made a reservation with the hotel directly or through the Walt Disney Travel Comany or another company, be sure that you tell them you want a new refurbed room in the Dream Tower with a Downtown Disney view.
I hope this helps. Enjoy your stay! I have stayed many times at the Disneyland Hotel and loved it. Did you pay extra for a view room or booked a standard room?

We were in the Dreams tower two weeks ago and in a refurbished room on the 8th floor, overlooking DTD. It was wonderful. It looked like to us, that half the tower was closed (the side that was being refurbished) and they were making pretty quick progress on the exterior. Being that view side was great, as we had floor to ceiling window seats for the fireworks.

Thank you guys. Sounds like they are getting through that tower fast. Yay for us. I booked through Walt Disney Travel so I will for sure call back and ask for that to be added to my request. I was hoping that it would be a nice view. Now, I just can't wait until July.

I was wondering if the Dream Tower has any "Standard View" rooms. We would love a refurbished room but don't want to pay for the view rooms. :confused3

Just came back from the Disneyland Hotel last week. We stayed in the Dream towers on the 4th floor facing Downtown Disney. Our room was wonderful. We could only see the top of the trees around the Hotel though. But we were in a newly remolded room. Half of the tower was completed and they were working alot on the the other half. I would say it should be done by the end of June. The room was great. You won't be disappointed.

Do the rooms at the Disneyland Hotel have balconies?

TIA!

We were just at the DLH 2 weeks ago and they were about 1/2 way through the remodel. The old rooms have balconies they are very small but it is nice to open it up and get fresh air but the new renovated rooms do not. I don't think the dreams tower has any standard rooms they face either the pool or DTD but they may have a few here and there not sure.

We requested a standard room with a daybed when I made our reservations before we went. However, I did end up in the Dreams tower in the newly renovated room facing downtown Disney. So I am not sure if our room was considered standard or not. I was very pleased with the room. We did not have a balcony as the pp states either, only the rooms that have not been renovated still have the small balcony.
