Hi all!

Starting to look at hotels for my daughter’s 2022 graduation trip. Want something close to the parks that will sleep 5. Paradise Pier is in the running.

Thanks!

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites which is a minute or walk from Howard Johnson. It was a nice, clean, modern no frills room. The walk is about 10 minutes, or less if you don't have little ones.

We also considered the Springhill Suites (the resort center one). It is across the street from the Toy Story lot. So, the trams are an easy option into the park. It looks very nice too.

Both of these options are a tier below the Disney hotels, but they are a nice step up from the motels on harbor.

We typically stay at the Hilton. The prices are always pretty reasonable and its about halfway between both entrances. I would put it above PP unless you are getting a room with a park view. Otherwise pocket the difference and spend it in park.

We are a family of 5 but aren't usually willing to book multiple rooms or larger suites (in hotels that don't already consider themselves "all suite" hotels). I see your kids are teens so they may or may not be down with this but my teen and pre-teens value not sharing a bed over many other things ;) The Courtyard has good options for this if they are ok with bunk beds (they are regular size bunk beds at least). The dual shower setup of the Courtyard is also nice for a bigger group/family.

We've also done the Holiday Inn Express mentioned above and found it suitable as well, though that is a 3 bed (and one of them is a sofabed) situation. It's right behind the Courtyard so just a slightly longer walk. The new Home2Suites and Hilton Garden Inn are also possibilities- they're right next to the HIE.

Hojo also has a family suite with 4 beds but they are a King in one room and bunk beds plus pull out sofa in the other room. Bonus for two full bathrooms but the beds in the kids room are only so-so, per my girls. Bunks are small and the sofabed not great (they never are but some are better than others...)

For something more budget friendly and super close to the park, the Tropicana does have rooms with 2 queens and a chair that pulls out. My kids found the chair bed passable (barely) but not comfortable. The room is also pretty tight with all 3 beds and everyone trying to get ready. Still, we do like the Tropicana and have stayed there several times due to price and location.

Several of the all suite hotels down near Katella/Harbor are also good options- Residence Inn, Springhill, Courtyard etc.

DLH and PPH are good options for 3 beds. My kids find the daybed sofa pull down more comfortable than many regular sofabeds.

I don't think the Hilton can accommodate 5 unless you book a suite, unfortunately. I found my stay there mediocre at best but I know others here like it.

Desert inn and suites has big suites in various configurations. It’s clean but no frills. I’ve stayed with 5 and had lots of room.

We stayed the Best Wester Park Place Inn & Suites, directly across from the DL entrance back in 2019 and have it booked again for next month. Clean, no frills, all rooms are suites I ithink, and by that I mean our room had two queens and then a separate small sitting area w/ pull out couch. Their rooms also have door access between two neighboring rooms if you all want to stay "together" but teens what their own room. I love it for the location alone, it's situated literally in front of the cross walk to DL.

Hojo, Camelot, desert inn, courtyard Marriott theme park entrance, park vue inn, grand legacy, castle inn, alpine inn and eden roc all have suites with 3 or more beds. Would also look at the newer hotels a bit behind the courtyard Marriott as I believe those are all suites too. Plus suncoast has 2 queens and a sleeper sofa. Have a great trip!
