Disneyland Hotel - No More Characters?

I'm going to be heading to Disneyland Paris in September 2015 and was contemplating staying in the Disneyland Hotel as a "once-in-a-lifetime" type trip. One of the biggest plusses of staying there would be the chance to meet the characters.

However, I have noticed on the website it now says "Daily breakfast with Disney Characters welcome until November 12, 2014".

Does this mean that, after that date, there will no longer be any characters appearing at the Disneyland Hotel at all (except maybe by random chance)?

All characters are being withdrawn from the hotels after November this year. They will be putting them into the parks for EMH. I think Castle Club will still retain characters.

Its was never a character breakfast at the DLH they are just outside the restaurants, a bit like the other hotels but their meet and greets were usually somewhere else

That was my thinking SW - without the characters being there it's much harder justifying paying twice as much as Hotel New York would cost me

No the Sunday Brunch and evening Character meals in Inventions will not be effected. There has been no offcial confirmation yet if The afternoon Descent of the Stairs at Disneyland Hotel will continue after 12 November. But I expect this will also stop.

It is a great shame to see the hotel Meet 'n' Geets come to an end, but I do understand why DLP they are doing it. But also think they could have come to a work around. Why they could not have a CM checking hotel easy passes when you join the queue to meet a character I don't know.

But hopefuly the new Character opening of the park at EMH will give guests the opportunity to meet all the Characters in the Park in the morning.

It's a real shame about the withdrawal of characters from hotels, it hasn't dampened our excitement about staying in the DLH this year though

And i'm really looking forward to seeing what they do in the park during EMH
