Hello,
My apologies if this question has already been asked! We are planning our first trip to Disneyland (April 2010), and have booked a 2-Bedroom parlor suite at the Disneyland Hotel. I am reading mixed information (one tower vs another, renovated room vs not, one side of a tower vs another, etc...), and am feeling a bit overwhelmed. Any suggestions for a preference of a tower/location/etc... to request for a 2-BR suite? I know we won't be guaranteed anything, but figured it couldn't hurt to try!
Thank you!
:)

Does your suite give you a view preference? If so, I'd ask for a DTD view, as that puts you in the Dreams tower and would be most likely to be a renovated room (that tower is the one being refurbished). Dreams is also closest to DTD and the parks.

If you get a standard view, then still request the Dreams tower if you like the above. You'll be either obstructed DTD or obstructed pool view :)

The standard view in the Magic tower (main lobby building) is usually nicer than standard in the Wonder tower because you can see the fireworks, part of the DL park, and it's prettier, even though you are still above a parking lot. The standard view from Wonder is usually just parking lot, but can also include an obstructed view on the other side, which is near the waterfalls and much prettier than the parking lot side. However, I think you're a lot more likely to get the parking lot, or that's my experience, at least.

Pool view is very nice and especially so if you have young children. Again, I prefer Dreams or Magic because you're close to things--dining and lobby for Magic, DTD and the parks in Dreams.

Wonder has beautiful waterfalls and koi ponds right in front, but it feels separated from the rest of the hotel to me. Some like that but I prefer to be near the shops, restaurants, and activities.

How lucky you are to get a suite!! Please post pics and a report when you get back!!
