Disneyland Handcapped Friendly?

Hey,

We're from Miami, FL & go to WDW about 4 times a year. I drive a scooter due to a stroke. Disney World is quite handi-accessible re: queue and flat surfaces.

Is Disneyland, DCA and DTD similar regarding the rides and just getting around.

I've never been to Anaheim, but am seriously thinking about it, thus the basic question.

Disneyland is very accessible. Most queues are not, but they will have you use exits. DCA is completely accessible.

My husband uses a power chair at Disneyland and we usually go in exits for most attractions.

One work of caution well note. When we go to Haunted Mansion they always ask him can he do a short walk in,. The answer to that question is Yes., However they forget the more important question that turned out to be a danger for him. Can you stand on a conveyor belt thats moving upwards, holding yourself upright. The answer to that is no for him. We found out the hard way when it took both of us to keep him upright. We always tell them No when they ask can he walk a short distance in now. They let us take his wheel chair all the way in and we ride the elevator backwards when we finish the ride.

I am so impressed with accessibilty or alternative accesibilty in Disneyland. They do go extra mile.

I usually just tell them Yes, but I need the conveyor stopped. That way we can walk in but still go up the side.
