Disneyland Half Marathon

Has anyone ever participated in this event? I'm seriously considering it with my daughter and we would like to hear about your experiences.

In hindsight I wouldn't have ordered the commemorative electronic timer device that you can rent but that they'll sell you one ahead of time with the DL half marathon logo on it - total waste for me at least.

I thought it was FANTASTIC - especially for my first half marathon - so many things along the way to keep you pumped up - tons of community support - marching bands, cheerleaders, boyscouts.... awesome.

I hope you end up doing it.

I am a lazy butt, but my best friend has competed in marathons and also did the Disney half, and ran the whole thing in a Snow White costume (with running shorts underneath). So many people dressed up in costumes of some sort! She really loved the experience!

look over on the WISH section of Dis. There are a ton of people over there that have competed. Most of them are headed out this week for the Marathon at DisneyWorld.

I did the DL half in 2009 and it was so much fun!
