Confirmation of the return of the Dumbo Double Dare.
The two track thing is weird.
Marathon Weekend to Disneyland is being treated as its own challenge but you cannot also participate in track 2. Also it seems like Track 1 medal will change yearly but Track 2 won't?

Definitely meant to entice people to do the two weekends in a row. Best of luck to those who can pull it off because I certainly can’t lol. That's how it seems.
The WDW Mara - DL Half track 1 says that: runDisney participants who choose this track will receive a special runDisney Coast to Coast Race Challenge medal only available in 2024.
Track 2 doesn't have the bold labeling attached to it.
I'm reading it as them just trying to "be clear" on what qualifies.
You either
"run WDW Marathon Weekend and DL weekend"
OR
"run DL weekend and any of the later half marathons at DW that year"
that's the "two tracks"
This is why I am questioning if I have to do track 1 if I run MW. What if I run 3 race weekends? Can I choose then which track? From the coast-to-coast page:
"Guests only earn one runDisney Coast to Coast Race Challenge medal per calendar year."
I think you’ll be able to but that’s something RD should probably clarify. This is why I am questioning if I have to do track 1 if I run MW. What if I run 3 race weekends? Can I choose then which track?
So does this mean the theme of the DL Half is going to be Dumbo? Sorry I only started running rD in 2022, so I'm rather ignorant on any of the prior DL races.
The last challenge they removed the dumbo and just called it the double dare. No, the DL 1/2 marathon challenge has always been The Dumbo Double Dare. Links for the last 3 DL half marathon races are back on post 1.
Except for 2017 when they kicked Dumbo to the curb and made it the Disneyland Double Dare, celebrating Pixar. No, the DL 1/2 marathon challenge has always been The Dumbo Double Dare. Links for the last 3 DL half marathon races are back on post 1.
Still agonizing over whether I should do this on the heels of MW but after today’s announcement I panic-booked an Anaheim hotel room for two nights. One less thing to think about?
I got scared off by the amount of hotels already available outside of my budget I definitely have no concept of DL planning, last and only visit probably 30 years ago, so happy for refundable bookings and this group for advice! Most of the hotels aren't even on the travel aggregate sites, and a few aren't even booking into 2024, yet.
I think you're fine

You're not alone! We're coming from the East Coast and I could reserve a refundable room on points, so I just went for it.Still agonizing over whether I should do this on the heels of MW but after today’s announcement I panic-booked an Anaheim hotel room for two nights.
