OK-
So I was mowing the lawn, deep in thought as it happens during long car rides and showers, etc....
And I was thinking about whether or not it would really be a good idea to buy into GCV when they are made available. Being from the East Coast, we would plan on going only once every 3 years. Instead, I thought, it would be better to rent from other owners OR just pay for the room through Disney itself! This is what I thought until I checked out the Disneyland.com website. For this summer (summertime is when we travel being teachers) it was $400+ a day in a standard view room!
For a pool/resort view add $100 a day.
Is this price typical? We have only stayed at GCV once on DVC points and loved our stay, but with times being what they are, I was thinking about holding onto the money that we would use to purchase points there. NOW, I am thinking that buying points may actually be the most economic way - depending on forthcoming point charts.
Anyone else here been having similar thoughts?
