I'm going to Grad Nite this Thursday May 29, which is also my 18th birthday.
I've been to Disneyland a number of times recently but this is different.

My school is driving on a bus for roughly 6 hours to get there, they've been doing this for a long time but I just wanted to know from people who have already gone.

I know it'll be super crowded, which I'm not too happy about. But what should I plan to bring into the park? I'm afraid of getting too cold and having to buy an overpriced sweatshirt but I also don't like carrying things around.

I was just going to take money and a cell phone, probably not going to bother with a purse. I'll obviously wear jeans and tennis shoes... but should I wear a light jacket and bring another or just have a sweatshirt?
I guess we don't have to dress up anymore like when my parents went.

Also, how long does it last?
Can I fall asleep anywhere and be safe?

And is there something really special that I should plan to do?

I'm really not into dancing at clubs, I love rides and shopping though. Haha.

I already have grad ears and a pin so I luckily won't have to carry as much merchandise. We're going to ESPN Zone beforehand which sounds really lame for us girls, but has anyone else done that?

Thanks!

I went to Grad Nite im May of 2008..and yes it is going to be very crowded!! Like really crowded. The best thing to do is dress in layers..I wore a tank top, with a thin shirt over that and a light sweater. It shouldn't be to bad..and if don't have anything else to carry a sweater really isn't all that much.

When I went it started at midnight but we didn't get into the DL until like one and they start ushering you out of the park around 5:15-6. The main area where I saw people passed out and sleeping was by Pizza Port near the entrance to Space Mountain..lots of booths and areas to lay down.

My advice is to just have fun..try not to get stressed out about the crowds because in reality your only prob going to get on 5 or 6 rides..bummer, but that's how it is. Do all the rides you really want to do. Fantasyland is not open cause of the stage but everything else is.

Oh yeah..I almost forgot..since your an advid shopper..buy your stuff when you first get there because by the time you leave there will be nothing left..I speak from exprience. Have fun!! Let me know if you have any other questions!!

Wow, I never would have thought it would be super crowded. Do they have lots of different schools there at the same time? I always thought how lucky, they pretty much have the place to themselves!

Well either way have a great time! :)

I helped organize our school's trip to Grad Night last year. The students are VERY limited on what they can bring in. Make sure you look at the list before deciding what to take.
