Well, shoot, if I'd have known you were serious, I would have come up with some real good stories! They might not be DIS appropriate though. :rotfl:

OK, you totally lost me on that last sentence! :rotfl2:

They do grow fast! What happened to my cute little angels? They are all bickering all day and talking back.

I would love to go with this group to DL at Halloween!! We have a family trip planned for then, but how fun would it be to all dress up and go to the Halloween party. I can pick the costumes!! :yay:
Just ask Shelley, I'm good at that. :rolleyes1

OOOOOh, I know what else I'd love to do. Take a big group and go to Knott's Scary Farm. That would be awesome. :scared1: :lmao:

You mean you haven't already? Well shoot, then you are already ahead of the game. ;)

Those costumes would not be DL appropriate!!!! Remember you have to walk from the HoJO dressed like that. We'd all be getting the street walker comments from all the tourists and Mary Jo would have a whole new set of stories to tell. :lmao:

Besides those boots that come with all your costume choices are not good for walking around the parks. Nobody wants to twist an ankle and ruin their trip. Unless Capt Jack was walking by and offered to carry you to First Aid. :thumbsup2 (or in the case of some of these ladies...Tour Guide Ryan)

We went last January, and that's how it was then; cool and empty. It drizzled one night, but I was prepared so I had ponchos with me.

That's great!!! I love that.

:lmao: You need a tag too! Say something embarrassing and then you'll probably get one. :rotfl2:

Well, I have to tell you, we were there a few times in Jan and early Feb and it poured! Freezing cold and poured. I wouldn't want to be there in that weather at all. Warm and rain I can do. Cool and no rain, I can do. Cold and rain is miserable.
For our family, we have two "events" early in the year that enable me to do a ladies trip. One is our tax refund and the other is my DH's bonus. So, if we did it in Jan or early Feb, I'm not sure if I'd be able to do it. Other than Sat., though, the heat didn't impact me so very much. I liked the weekend we went, and I liked that we were there during the end of the deals so that a number of our ladies could take advantage of the savings on tickets.

Hi everyone,

I am guilty of drive-by readings - not even popping in for a hello.

Sometime ago, it was asked what was the most significant thing for me on our Ladies Weekend. I'd have to say that the most significant thing for me was the VIP tour. I would have to say that is one of my highlights ever at Disneyland. (I wish we had got JD's phone number!)

Other than that, I was really happy to meet so many of you & get to know you a little & share some fun at Disneyland. I wish I had made the Jazz Kitchen dinner. I would really have liked to have met Lorealle.

I had so much fun on Friday that my dd, Kelly, wanted to come with me on Saturday. (You may have seen her lately - Daisuke - though don't ask me to pronounce her name )

If it weren't so hot I/we would have spent more time with you ladies, and I look forward to more mini/big meets (somebody DID say June, right?). Also, Chris & I had talked about doing Hollywood as a group - how fun would that be. :sunny:

Ohhhh, me me me! I'd love to do Hollywood! I'd love to go to Wicked with the Ladies! It would give me an excuse to go and it wouldn't be as expensive as taking the whole gang, or even the DH! (who doesn't really want to go, anyway.)

I was yelling too! Grrrr! I was so ready for Jr. to win!

Morning Michelle! I got your voicemail but was working pretty late that night so I didn't get a chance to call you back. I would have loved to meet up with you guys at DL. Next time for sure!

Can I just say--I LOVE Wicked too and there's nothing better than going with girlfriends! (I also know the door to go out after the show to get autographs from some of the cast members if anyone wants to) . . . .by the secret bathroom--yep, they have one too!

last week when I left Hojo at 8:30 a.m. it was 82 degrees on my car temperature thingie. (and only went up from there)

This morning at 9:45 it's 64 degrees!

Timing is everything!

Easter next year is April 12--so at least the week before and the week after will be extremely busy at DLR and I would avoid those.

I would assume too that those of you who will be going on Spring Break excursions wouldn't want a ladies' trip too close to your family vacations. (Of course, I could be wrong about that! Maybe that's what you need to recover!)

I would probably vote for March at this point--by then the "deals" should have been announced for the non-AP holders, there wasn't that much rain that I recall this year--but I will say we had some pretty cold nights. Otherwise, we are probably back to the same weekend timeframe we had this year.

What were the dates of the ticket deal we non-locals were able to get for this trip. I know the last day to activate was April 24 but when did it start? Not that I'll be able to go--not enough vacation time--but that might be a factor in the dates. Was it into March?????

ETA: OK, I found the dates. 5-Day Park Hopper Tickets purchased in advance are $169 adult / $139 child (ages 3-9) plus shipping (or you can print them at home for free). Includes one early entry admission for Disneyland. This is the regular Advance Purchase price for a 3-Day Park Hopper Bonus Ticket. First use on this ticket must take place between 1/7/08-4/24/08 and it expires 13 days after first use or 5/7/08, whichever comes first.

Looks like anytime between January to our trips dates this year should be covered by the deal. With a price increase of course. ;)

Who has the picture from Goofy's Kitchen? Can we add that to the Shutterfly account?

I think Michelle has the bigger photo and the capability of scanning it. I have a little one, and no scanning equipment!!!

I don't like it freezing cold either. I definitely want as many ladies to go as possible, or that want to.

So far in the replies I've gotten, I've seen lots of February and some Fall (Oct.). I can actually go anytime. So it doesn't matter to me. And I think to try and plan it based on a certain temperature would be a mistake since there is no guarantee on what that will be. I lived in SoCal for 25 years and I've seen temps in February that were freezing and temps that were in the mid to upper 80's. It's just too hard to predict.

March sounds good to me, but then as I said, I can go whenever.

Honestly if I had to narrow it down for myself personally, I'd be inclined to go with end of February or beginning of March. But I think we are going to have to put it to a vote.

Well, that's good to know. I won't have an AP next year so I will be looking for deals as well.

I'd be good with whatever the majority decides too.

Hi gals! I've had some pretty bad news this weekend. Our very best friends and godparents of our children are moving away. :sad1: Michelle is my best friend and really the only person I talk on a deep level with outside of my mom. I've been pretty depressed.

The only good news in this is that they are moving to Claremont, CA, which is just 30 minutes away from DLR! I told them that they are my new DL Hotel and I expect them to get S. Cal passes!

Having them tell us they are moving has really lit a fire under my dh about selling our house. We're putting a sign in the yard on June 1 and if it sells, we're moving to NW Washington. I'm working hard on prepping this house for showing. Staging a house while homeschooling 3 kids is pretty hard. I really hope this is my last summer in AZ.

It's only in the 90's and I'm already miserable with the heat. :headache:

Anyway, thanks for letting me share. Hope you all enjoyed your weekends. and Cheryl, I hope you're feeling better!

Amy

I have it, but was supposed to get it to Katie, which I think I will do next Friday. I don't have scanning equipment either.

Hey Megan, initially we will rent on Whidbey Island where my dad lives. But my dh wants to live on the Olympic Peninsula in either southern Jefferson County or northern Kitsap County.

Where do you live?

Cool! I am in South Pierce county. Just south of Tacoma. I SOOO dont like where we live, and when we buy a house it will be in Yelm... Which is ummmmm... Thurston county I do believe. The peninsula is sooo pretty!!! We love it out there!

Callie, I am sorry about your friend moving away. That's hard.

I'm glad she's not moving too far. Not cross the U.S. or anything. And so close to DL. I see many more trips in your future. ;)

I hope your house sells quickly so you can move to where you'd like to be.

Seems we have lots of ladies who live in Washington. I wonder what the cost of living is up there compared with other places like in CA? I'd love to live up there.
