Callie, I am sorry about your friend moving away. That's hard.

I'm glad she's not moving too far. Not cross the U.S. or anything. And so close to DL. I see many more trips in your future.

I hope your house sells quickly so you can move to where you'd like to be.

Seems we have lots of ladies who live in Washington. I wonder what the cost of living is up there compared with other places like in CA? I'd love to live up there.

It is less then California, thats for sure! It really depends on where you live. The closer you get to Seattle, the more expensive it is. We are looking out in Yelm, which is very small town, and more in the country... You can get a great house, brand new 3-5bdrm for between $200,000. and $250,000. Closer to Seattle... Well, it really gets up there! My sister lives in SoCal, and EVERYTHING is cheaper here then it is there.

Well that's good to know. CA is crazy expensive. I don't know how we managed to live there all those years, and on a single income!!

Are there plenty of jobs up there though? I know at one point we looked into moving to FL because the rent was so cheap! But when I researched the salaries, well, I could not believe how low they were.

What about hospitals? Any major ones?
I can do some Googling but it's nice to hear from those who are already there.

OKay so ladies, I'm thinking of starting a poll on the DIS Meets board about the dates for next years trip. I figured I'd put it over there so as not to clog up the board here, and I can put a link to it in my sig and on the front page.

But I need some input. I just posted all the answers I've gotten so far. From what I can tell so far it seems the most popular choices are:

late February going into early March (maybe Feb. 26 thru March 2?)

Spring in general (maybe early April before Easter?? or late March?)

Fall in general (late Sept, or early October for the Halloween decorations??)

So I was going to post a public poll (meaning anyone can see who voted and for what) and see if we can't narrow it down to one of those 3. What do you all think. Opinions? Ideas? Criticisms? Thoughts? Do you care?

I went with those options based mainly on the answers I've received so far. Also I'll include an option to vote that anytime is fine, because I know some had said it didn't matter when we went, they'd be there!

I'll admit, I'm a chicken when it comes to the TOT! But, I'll ride the swinging gondolas if anyone wants to join me.

(However, my friend Cathy isn't chicken to ride anything. She didn't go on TOT because, being the great friend she is, decided to hang with her chicken friend........ME. )

I love that picture though! Too cute! Funny to know whether you prefer to hold the phone in your right hand or left hand.

I tried a couple of things on the ladies trip that I hadn't tried before. 1 being a Dole Whip Float. It was good, but I like the Dole Whip better. I actually just tried the Dole Whip on my last trip to DL.

I also tried a Tigger's Tail. It was good but very sweet. Don't think I'll get one again though.

My favorite is still the Apple Pie Caramel Apple.
