Disneyland Girls Only Trip thread

I'm totally excited too . . . and I'm IN for the Vegas trip!!! (Let's just not do it in July . . . last time I was there in July it was 114 . . . . Beth . . . . how do you do it??????)

LOL Summer here is like winter other places. You stay inside!! Just with A/C on instead of the heat.

Actually this will be our first full summer here. We moved here last summer at the end of July. But we've taken enough vacations here to know what it's like. Plus we were here for all of last August.

But it's a DRY heat!


I think a Girls Only trip here would be really awesome. The weather here is perfect right now, so next March or April would be a great time to do it.

So how much do you think I'll be spending this trip? I want to bring the right amount of cash perhaps a little more just in case of emergencies but I definitely do not want to run out before the trip ends.

BTW, I'm only going Thursday and Friday (I'm leaving Friday night)

It looks good if you think you can stick to it. I NEVER stick to my budget so I always bring extra . Better to be safe than sorry.

As far as HOJO not having continental breakfast, you could always bring your own juice and pastries and save a few dollars. There are refrigerators in the rooms .

Our rooms will have micros, from what I understand, but not ALL rooms have them.

Add me in! I'd love to do a ladies trip to Vegas!!! We have two vans, so I'd even be able to drive.....pick up some of the ladies in Antelope Valley and surrounding areas along the way!!!!!

I actually like going there during the summer. The Tropicana has a great swim up blackjack table and slots to play. I like hanging out at the pool. To me, it doesn't seem as hot because it's such a dry heat.

Here's your mission ladies, should you choose to accept it.

While everyone is in Disney on this trip, I was going to ask that this thread be closed (it's getting too long anyways) and I was going to start the new one for next years Girls Only Trip.

And I was going to ask that while you are all there together to start tossing some dates around. Maybe keeping it in the same general time of year (Spring, since this seemed to work well with school and weather) and keeping in mind that while no date will be perfect for everyone, this far out, I think pretty much any date could be worked with.

OK, so that's what I was going to do.

NOW, I think while you are there you should also discuss if you'd rather seriously do a trip to Vegas instead.
I mean, several of you have said you'd love to do it, soooo...... why not see if we can make it happen??

So, when you are all together in TWO WEEKS talk it over and try to decide if you want to do Vegas or DL and get a few dates together. (Again keeping in mind, that we might lose some from this trip and gain some new ones based on where we go and when. Sadly, it just won't always work every time for everyone, kwim?)

If you can't decide, then we can always do a poll like we did this time once everyone gets back.

115?? Wow. I know we hit that here last 4th of July, but then it went back down.

I think for the whole month of August we never got above 104. But it was steady in the 100's for the whole time.

I've readjusted my budget.
I'm not going to eat at DCA when I arrive, I'll be eating on the way to Anaheim. And I'm not going have Dinner at Hungry Bear, since I'm leaving around 7p, I'll grab a snack around 4 or 5p and eat something on the road. (In-N-Out always pleases my palate and it's cheap!)

And I'm going to buy a bunch of breakfast foods to keep in our room. That way I save time & money! I plan on being at DL at least 30 minutes before opening (hopefully my roomies are early risers ) because I really want to ride Peter Pan and Dumbo before our lunch at BB.

I'm trying not to spend too much money since I'm going again May 9th. I have to save my moola to pay off my Disney Visa

I'm trying to figure out a way to get my daughter down from school that day, she only has classes until noon, that would make an even 30 people, but we haven't figured out the transportation issue since I won't have a car.
