Disneyland gift card?

I noticed on the Disneyland official website that they sell gift cards for Disneyland! How cool!

Has anyone year ever used one, and is it good at a lot of locations? The terms read: Not valid for use at third party lessees, Downtown Disney® District Operating Participant locations, outdoor vending carts and select Disneyland® Resort restaurant locations, and not valid for payment of Resort Hotel room nights. Other restrictions may apply. Subject to change without notice. So, does that mean it's not good at DTD at ALL, or just certain stores/restaurants at DTD? And is it good at all the restaurants inside the parks?

I'm thinking of getting some to pre-pay some of our expenses for our April trip, mainly food since well be eating in the parks and DTD quite a bit.

I am also wondering this as well. I was hoping to do this but DH freaked out a little. He was afraid that we wouldn't be able to use it or would get too much ! Hopefully someone will answer this.

Think of the gift cards like Disney dollars. They are only good at Disney locations. So in Downtown Disney, that would just be World of Disney. In the parks, any restaurant that takes credit cards will take the gift card, which is basically all of them, sit down and counter serice. But not the restaurants at the hotels. Also all the shops inside Disneyland and Calif Adventure. You just can't use them at the food carts (popcorn, ice cream, etc) and the souviener (sp?) carts (like balloons, light up toys, etc).

Edited to add: the cards are refillable in the park. So you can start small especially if getting them for kids. Then fill up as needed.
