Disneyland Game for Kinect!!!

It is technical. You have to be far enough back for the Kinect to be able to see your whole body. If someone is too close it cannot track the hand or foot movements. That all being said, a company is coming out with an attachment to help reduce the room requirement by up to 40%. It was announced at the E3 Expo and should be coming later this year. PC magazine has a little bit about it.

One of the biggest complaints with the Microsoft Kinect for Xbox 360 is its space requirement. For the depth-sensing cameras to function properly, Microsoft recommends a good eight feet between your HDTV/Kinect and your couch/you. That's a lot of space, especially for apartment dwellers like myself.

Nyko might have fixed that problem with the Zoom, a surprisingly simple and affordable Kinect attachment that seriously cuts down on its need for room.

The Zoom is a wide-angle lens attachment that fits over the Kinect, changing how it sees the room. With a wider angle, it can see more laterally, but doesn't have as much depth.

Thank you for the info. My boys have tried it other places but I never have. Our family room is a rectangle and the sofa/tv are on the long sides, making it a short distance between them. I hope they do fix that because there must be a lot of people with rooms like ours.

The only thing that worries me about games like this is that when you know you have tons of people dedicated to the fanchise/series/overall experience, the developer can make a less then great game. To be honest, they normally turn out pretty crappy. (Movie franchise games are the worst) I'll save my judgement and read the reviews when it comes out, but if it's less then stellar, I'll wait for a price drop.

And I think the exact same thing about the Star Wars game for Kinect.

You are exactly right! I never buy games for anything based on the movie. However, I have to say the Lego movie versions are well done and pretty funny too. I always wait to see what people say about a game before buying it.

In that case, probably the DL, MK, Epcot versions will be great. DCA version great after it's rehab. But people will be wondering why AK and DHS are only fun for a little while and then you will want to pop in the discs for DL and Epcot again. :rotfl:

I wasn't going to purchase the Kinect add on for my Xbox, but now I just might have to. I should just start handing my paycheck over to Disney.

Took the words right out of my mouth! I sort of secretly hope it's a bad game, because if the reviews are good this will be the only reason I'm tempted to get a kinect! :rotfl2:
