I'm a senior, and I've been to Disneyland. Planning on returning next year. My two favorite things are Carthay Circle restaurant and Mr. Toad's Wild Ride.
Carthay has the greatest vibe of any Disney restaurant anywhere, anytime.
Mr. Toad is one of the original attractions. I wish it were still @ WDW.
I'm going with my daughter.....we leave next Sunday.
I have been many times, this will be the first time flying instead of driving because of a pinched nerve. It is getting better so hope I can walk around with her for at least most of the day.
Hey, @LKing, maybe someday we could organize a Senior meet up at DL! Maybe have Mickey beignets and go on a ride together...i know there are a lot of seniors who post regularly and who have MKs...maybe kinda like Dapper Day...that would be fun! Just thinking off top of my head...

Don't have a date for our trip, but likely would be in late September/early October. We want to do a Hawaiian cruise either the week before or week after.

Following along on this thread even though I'm a WDW person. We will be visiting DL/DCA for the 70th (doing an ABD) and I'm looking forward to seeing Walt's park again.
When the kiddos were younger we alternated WDW and DLR. This started decades ago. Now they are grown with their own kids. (one of the best perks of getting older is grandkids!). They like WDW better so DW and I are going to DLR in February on our own. This will be our first trip since Disneylands 50th celebration. We are really looking forward to it. We are West Coast so flight time and expense is much better than going to WDW. We are DVC and recently added-on at DLH sight unseen! A real impulsive buy!
It has been so long since we have been there, it will be like the first time all over again. We will be staying 9 nights. Any must dos? Any great restaurants off property within an easy drive of DLH?
Oh wow, this is great! I "know" a lot of you guys from my years on DIS and it would be nice to be able to meet up with other DL seniors sometimes.
I have an Inspire pass, live 70 miles north of Sacramento, and fly down to LGB or SNA (whichever is cheaper). My dh has no interest in going to DLR now that our girls are grown, but he supports my addiction interest. I'm 68 but emotionally about 12.
I'm local so am flexible with respect to a meet up. @DizMe@Pluto468@Tinkaboo and others. What would be a good time for you guys? @DizMe is approximately a 1 hr flight away. @Pluto468, did you say you were a 2.5 hr flight away? Both of you guys usually stay on site, right? What about you @Tinkaboo? How far away are you?
