So after chatting with my son yesterday , we are 98% set on going to Disneyland this Christmas

I know it will be insane, but realistically how bad is it.
I have visited the park many times around christmas BUT have never been On christmas.

We've been on new years and I vow NEVER to do that again, it wasn't the crowds it was the rudeness of other guest in the park , I had never experience such mean people inside Disneyland like I did on new years eve..

I've been the day after thanksgiving and it was busy, but still the happiest place on earth.
So it's not really crowds i'm concerned with, it's the general attitudes of other guest .. I mean Being at Disneyland ON CHRISTMAS ,should automatically put anyone in a happy mood

We already have 2 trips this year set in motion, so riding every ride and seeing every show is not our mission.. We just want a nice alternative to celebrate christmas

So anyone who has been on christmas Day, what is your input.. we will be a family of 4 , me, hubby my son (20) and his gf (20) so we are not traveling with little kids just:worship: Disney loving adults :) :lovestruc

We go every year from about Dec 22- Jan 3 (since 1998). We love it. We haven't encountered rude people. It is insanely busy. But it is our family's tradition.

I depends on what you're trying to do in the parks. Example of a rude guest I encountered the other day:

This guy parked his mom's wheelchair (she appeared to be napping) partly blocking the crossing path for the parade. As the parade was ending, guests started lining up to cross, and when the CM pulled the rope away, people started moving both ways. This guy pushes mom forward, then stops and decides to reverse. He starts yelling that no one will let him through. I started to politely ask which way he's going, because I'll help clear the path (I've done this before at Disney and elsewhere). Well before I could even finish the sentence this jerk screams in my face that he wants to turn the chair around and I'm in the way. So screw him, I'm not going to help. I then watch him pivot the chair, swipe a few guests and plow into the IASW line, cutting off a line of guests who were being orderly in entering the line. Then he turns and yells at the rest of his party to cut ahead and join them. During all this, mom in the chair kept her head down and never appeared to wake up. I wonder how much she appreciated the parade or the ride. I waited for the post-parade rush to die down and then went to see MatMM, which at that point in the day wasn't crowded.

Now, if you're going to have the kind of trip where you stake out prime parade spots, and rush to get into shorter lines after parades, or try to hope from headliner to headliner in the "optimum" order, you're probably going to encounter other commando style touring guests who will tend to me more aggressive or less considerate of those taking a slower pace.

There are always going to be rude people, or people who happen to be having their worst moment when you encounter them, your enjoyment is also going to depend on how quickly you let it roll of your back.

You're going to run into rude people no matter what day it is, it's just the luck of the draw for that. I've been on Christmas Day before, once. Won't ever do it again. Worst experience ever! I'm an ap, so I go often. You say you're not worried about crowds, so that's good. we only stayed about 15 min, because we could hardly walk for all the people, much more crowded than any of the New Years eves I've been to. Just wasn't a fun way to spend our holiday when we can go any other day of the year.
