Disneyland ff lens choice

I have a canon 5d3 with 24-105 and am going to dl and san diego. I was torn between adding the 16-35 2.8 or 70-200 f4 is any suggestions which would prove more useful?

Different strokes for different folks. To me, wide angle lenses are better for shooting places and telephoto lenses are better for shooting things. I find that I do more of the latter (friends, performers, signs, details). Everyone's style is different.

The 70-200 is overkill for Disneyland IMO. I'd personally get the 16-35. However the 70-200 would be great for the SD Zoo. An idea would be to rent both for your vacation and decide which to buy when you get back.

eta: I do agree with Mark that it depends on the kind of shooter you are. I'm a people shooter and scrapbooker and found the 24-70 with the 50 1.4 to be the perfect combo for Disneyland. I don't really do the shows. The 24 end was great for buildings/environment and the 70 end did great for portrait/parade/sign type stuff. The 50 for night/dark ride (a few portraits tossed in) stuff, though on the D700 I got away with a lot on hand held night shooting at 2.8 with the 24-70.

Neither. I'd go with a fast short prime like the 24mm f/1.4 in my bag.

We're all different and no one else can tell you which lens is best for you.

I agree with the recommendation for the 70-200mm. My shooting style is very comparable to Mark's.

But to be honest, I would also carry fast prime with me for dark rides and other low light shots. I have some unfinished business in Pirates of the Caribbean and Haunted mansion.

Personally, I would take a 24-70 or a 14-24. Disneyland is far more cozy to WDW.
