Disneyland Express?

[Mom loves Disney]

Does the Disneyland Express work like magical express? Do they show a video or anything? Would you recommend using this service? If it matters we like WDW's magical express. Thanks this is a whole new ballgame for me.

It's not the same as the magical express at DW, no videos. From what I remember a couple of years ago it was just a bus ride. I love the ME at DW it was so much fun and really go me excited on the way from the airport.

There's a big Disney graphic on the outside of the bus, if that helps any.

But seriously, there's no video, and more importantly you need to take your bags to the bus and take charge of your bags when you get off. On the positive side, you and everyone on the bus is going to Disneyland.

I recommend super shuttle, its cheaper and your getting pretty much the same thing out of it.

We have had videos once on our bus ride (we have ridden probably 9 times now). I have read of others having videos on their rides but it seems more times than not you do not get videos.

No, the Disneyland Express does not work like the Magical Express at WDW...first off you have to pay $$ for the bus transportation. The last two years that we have flown into John Wayne Airport we had to wait a while for a bus. Be aware that if you are not standing at the bus stop the bus will roll right past you and then you have to wait another 20-30 minutes...and depending on where you are staying it's another matter. We had to change busses at the Disneyland Hotel and WE had to get our luggage and get on another bus to be brought basically across the street to the Grand California Hotel. So TOMORROW WHEN WE FLY TO LAX we are taking a limo service, they meet you at baggage claim and drop you off right at your hotel. It will be our first time flying into LAX so I hope it is as easy as it seems. It's a little more expensive than the bus but time is of the essence!

Not necessarily. Last time we took it, we were staying at the Grand Californian and we were the first stop.....

Super Shuttle scared the beejeebers out of me and it was more expensive for two of us. We purchased DL Express tickets for a total of $45 (two people/return) through GAT (saved a couple of bucks )

FWIW, when we took it to GCH the other day, they stated that the LAX buses do NOT have to change when going to the GCH. We stayed on the bus at DLH as they money/ticket takers came on board, we bought our round-trip ticket, and then we were the first stop after DLH.



GAT is getawaytoday.com. It takes a bit of searching (I'm too tired to figure it out right now, sorry) but you can end up on the Disneyland Transportation area and you can buy tickets ahead of time. Note: it is AHEAD of time...over 48 hours is needed.
