I read on their website that you must book 48 hrs in advance, but I was wondering if I should chance it and try to get a seat when I arrive?

My Husband and I will be staying at the Radisson Maingate, Monday 9/24 - 10/1 and our flight arrives in LAX at 2.50pm, so is the Disneyland Express the best way to go or should we try Super shuttle?

I don't know, but, in order to help fully, people might want to know what day and date you're arriving, and where you are staying, and how many people (any kids?) are traveling. :)

We have doen both the shuttle and the bus from SNA, the problem with the bus is that it stops at DLH first, and depending on what route you are on from there you may have to change buses, so check carefully. We have never had any trouble with the shuttle, but I have heard others complain of lots of stops before thiers.

I just went to the other website for the Disneyland Express (the Grayline one), and I see that it does say that you need a reservation. The website is changed since the last time I saw it (We used the shuttle 3 months ago) That information is news to me. Does anybody know when this changed? I guess they need to update the other website since it still says reservations are not needed.:)

I went ahead and made online ressies for our trip in a week and a half. I got worried after reading this thread that I could not just hop on without ressies like we have done in the past. I will ask the driver when I am there to see what the scoop is for everyone else and report back.

That would be great.....Thanks! You are going to DL again?.....Lucky you! Have a great time!:)

We are working these new AP's hard this year. Ha. Ha. Yes, DH and I are going by ourselves next week and splurged on the AP rates of GCH. We are also going again in January taking DS. I think we are addicted.....

Just got back and you do not have to have reservations for the Disneyland Express to get to the hotel/motel. You will have to pay when you get to the DLH, which is the first stop. The bus runs every 30 min during peak times.

We just missed the bus by about 2 min so we had to wait almost 30 min.

There are lots of SuperShuttles and busses stoping at the same bus stop. You may want to catch a SuperShuttle if you haven't made a reservation - check if any of the other passengers are going to their house first as you may end up on the bus longer than the Disneyland Express. You may also luck out and be the only one.

When we used the DLE bus we were one of 4 other groups so we only stopped at 3 hotel/motels (including the DLH).

As squirrel said, you do not need a reservation when going from the airport to the hotel. However, it's recommended that you make reservations going from the hotel back to the airport to make sure there is room for you and that a bus (or shuttle) arrives when you need it to.
