Disneyland early November

Making our first trip to Disneyland 11/3-11/9. Hopeful that the edge will be off Galaxy’s Edge by then and it will only be super busy and not frankly intolerable. I know it’s pure speculation, but any thoughts re what to expect in terms of crowds during that time? Thanks!

The crowds are still going to be massive around Star Wars Galaxy's Edge... That hype will only slightly (very slightly! ) calm down at DLR when it opens at WDW, in my opinion. In years past, early November is a great time to go, but all bets are off with the opening of SWGE.

The good news is you'll at least know what to expect - thanks mainly to this type of forum - when you do go - but as to what to expect this far out is speculation. I remember when Carsland opened - people thought it was going to be busier but it turned to be much busier than most people thought it would be. Sure it's died off but RSR still has very long wait times and is still hugely popular and it opened almost 7 years ago.

The difference now is that Disneyland Resort is already a LOT busier than it was in 2012 before Carsland opened. It effectively killed the off season. And you cannot compare Cars to Star Wars - it has a much larger fan base that dates back generations now so I really think anyone who has plans to go should include dealing with crowds and congestion the like of which have never been experienced at DLR. Like my guess is Christmas level crowds - I hope I am wrong, like I really hope I am wrong.

11/3 is Fall Dapper Day, so at least some of the crowds will be very well dressed.
ETA: If 11/8 is the first day of Holiday Time, expect large local crowds, especially in the later afternoon and evening.
