Whew! Got back late Friday night from a week-long chaperone of my DD14's Heritage Tour; I had a group consisting of BOYS... what an experience!!
The food offered was BAAADDD... not bad tasting, just horrifically calorie- and fat-laden! I tried to be as careful as possible, and we walked around a lot, through VA, NJ, PA, NY and DC. I was afraid to weigh myself when I got back, but finally stepped on the scale Sunday afternoon... and had lost 2 pounds
I'm down 35 lbs so far, to 208, and only 9 more pounds 'til I meet my birthday goal, with a month to go!
I was able to work out yesterday for the first time since we had left on the trip. It was not as easy as it had been before I left, so I'm going to have to work my way back up to the level I was before. But that's okay; as long as I'm not GAINING weight.
While we were gone my mom had some problems and is back in the hospital. She is now in "acute rehab" and is working on strengthening up to be able to accept the liver donation. I've been in contact with the transplant team in Boston to beg them to give me a look-over to see if I'm able to donate sooner than my BMI will indicate, as my BMI is exceedingly misleading. My bloodwork was stellar when it was last taken; both my doctor and my mom's doctor don't see any reason why I couldn't donate now. Hopefully they'll see reason...
