I am also sort of feeling like I need to give myself a break for a few days and plan for some smart splurging, or I am going to be feeling a bit deprived. So, I am not too sure I will weigh in this week. It would be just too darn depressing for me if I gained everything back. We'll see.
I like that term..."smart splurging." I'm doing the same.

Yesterday and today have been the worse eating days ever.
Tomorrow my sister and I are starting up STRICT. No extra carbs other than complex carbs and we will be eating TONS of fruits, veggies, protein and WATER BY THE GALLON. I'll be going to the gym tomorrow after work, no time in the morning seeing as how I have to leave the house at 10:15 - 10:30am and I would prefer not to be tired for my shift (which will most likely be CRAZY busy).
Yesterday is gone and today is a new day. Let's all not be too strict with ourselves in the holidays. Let's be smart, but gentle. 'til the season...

Beth, I am down 7 pounds last week. I am not sure how that happened. I think it is because I am drinking lots of water and not eating everything I see.Although it is mostly water weight, I will take it.
7 pounds? WOOHOO!!! ALRIGHT!!!

That's awesome! I'd take that for sure! Heck, I'm not even down seven pounds total since we started this board. That's absolutely a wonderful accomplishment...in the middle of holiday season, no less!
So, we had a Christmas party yesterday and I pretty much ate everything I wanted. Plus I am sore. Did yoga yesterday after having skipped several weeks and the instructor was trying to help me build my 'headstand practice." I have no headstand practice. Imagine me on all fours with my head touching the ground, and there's my headstand practice. Anyway, while touching my head on the floor I seem to have tweaked something and am in mild pain today. Aargh. I'm supposed to run 45 minutes. How the heck? We'll see how exercise goes this week.
Both kids are now crawling all over me, so I think it's time to sign off.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE!
