We live on the west coast of BC and travel to Disney quite often. I admit I have an addiction :rolleyes1. We used to travel every other year or so but I was able to make it worth getting an Annual Pass for DL last year and was able to use it for 4 trips. We also went to DW in December. I knew I would have to wait to go back to either park with star wars opening etc.

DH loves Disney World and I am partial to Disneyland. Our kids are grown so we usually travel with on our own or with friends.

So now I am tossing around the idea of hitting both coasts in one trip in the first 2 weeks of December 2020. Has anyone ever done this? Am I totally insane (well I know the answer to that one)? Thinking if we did DW first because that flight is the longest and the time change, then flying to Disneyland for 4 days before taking our short flight home.

Any stories to share of doing this? or have you ever thought about it?

I have never thought of it but I hope you do it and then come back and post about it!

It would be cool to be able to compare the rides that are in both parks in such a short period of time. Say ride Pirates as your last ride of the day at WDW and then make it your first ride of the day at DL

that is a great idea!!! I have looked at flights for this year as an estimate and it really isn't to bad to hop from one to the other.. Hubby might kill me haha I send him a calendar of dates. You know his eyes are rolling on the other end of that text.

I read a thread awhile back about a family who was planning to visit all six parks (the four at WDW and two in California) on the same DAY. Or maybe they'd already done it. Can't remember if it was pre or post trip.

So its for sure been done. That's probably not quite what you had in mind though. :)

I've casually considered whether we could do skiing and Disney (or some other warm-weather destination) on a two week March Break trip. I love skiing, but I also like to get away from winter, and we don't usually have time for two winter trips. But the luggage alone makes a trip like that a logistical nightmare, so I don't see it actually happening.

Happy planning!

I’ve thought about it, but I’ve never done it. I think 2 weeks would be just right. For me, sometimes Disney magnifies some of what I think of as American behaviours in some guests and by the end of two weeks... I need a break lol but maybe that’s just me. I did 16 days at Disney world and, whole awesome, I had to take a couple new days outside of the park at the resort. It was great because they were really busy park days so the resort was nice and empty :)

I think WDW to DL is a good plan - start with the bigger parks (WDW) and then end with something with a little less planning (DL). Plus you get the loss of time out of the way.

I think it’s a great idea, I wish I could manage it this year! Maybe in 2 years. :)
