Hi Everyone:

Is anybody familiar with the Disney Village set for Disneyland? Does anybody know if it is still being sold and how many buildings are in the set? Thanks!

I am afraid that I am not familiar with the Disneyland village, but I wanted to welcome you to the Collectors Board. Hopefully someone else here will be able to answer your question.

I am not sure if these are what you are meaning..but I have been collecting the sets sold at Sam's Club for the last few years by Brass Key.

There have been 3 sets and the last one was Disney Princesses. I am really bummed that I have not seen a set for this year.

I know pieces of the Disneyland set were still being sold last year, but have not heard anything with regard to this year.

For those not familiar with it, the set is very similar to the light up holiday pieces sold at WDW, but with the Disneyland houses. For example, at WDW they had Casey's Corner, and at Disneyland it was Carnation. They had the Sleeping Beauty castle instead of Cinderella's, etc.

I have several of the Disneyland Christmas Village pieces. The Main St. Train Station, Fire House, Emporium, Sleeping Beauty's Castle, Main St. Cinema, Park Benchs, Steet Lamps, and the 3 piece stationary Christmas Train. I think refreshment Corner was available at one time as well but, I missed getting it.

I purchased the Main St. Cinema this year and they had a hard time finding it even though it was displayed in several different shops at DL.

I also have some WDW's snow village pieces: Main St. Train Station and the Fire House.

At WDW 2 weeks ago they were displaying their snow village Emporium, Cinema, Train Station, Firehouse, Casey's Corner and Cinderella's castle.

DisneySpirit, are you sure they were displaying the Casey's Corner? I haven't see that one at WDW in over a year, and they have been sold out for some time (it was discontinued.) That's one piece I'm still looking for.

I may be mistaken regarding seeing Casey's Corner. :guilty: I just remember they had 6 pieces displayed in a glass case (3 on each side) It was in that shop at Disney-MGM Studios that has the artist watches.
