We are thinking about making a trip to Disneyland in June. I would like to hear from anyone who has tried their Dine in the Magic Plan. Did you think it was worth it? What did you like or dislike about it?

Thanks,
Jennie:)

I'll let you know when I get back next Tuesday!! I wanted to budget in some meals so I bought the vouchers. It's nice that I am going to be arriving with some meals already paid for, including snacks. The only bad thing seems to be that they don't give change back in your meal/snack is under the dollar amount of the voucher...that way we will be forced to speand more;) Like that's going to be hard LOL!!

I hope you enjoy your trip. I think having meals paid for ahead of time will be a big benefit. Post your opinions when you return. I'll be anxious to hear how it went.

Ok I am back and I loved loved loved the vouchers. I did not have to carry much cash, only took $40 out in 5 days. The vouchers say "child meal" or "snack" but they can be used for anything as long as its food. I think it was worth it if you plan on eating all your meals in the parks/ Disney hotels anyways as we were going to and if you don't waste the voucher by spending under the dollar amount on it. They were accepted everywhere including the vendors like churros, ice cream, etc. It was nice going to the Blue Bayou and having the bill be $53 and giving them vouchers for $52.

Thank you for the reply. I have a couple of questions. We will be in the park for 5 days. How many vouchers did you buy? Did you think it was enough for the number of days you were in the park? Can you share meals to get more out of your vouchers?

when using vouchers, do they still honor the 10% discount with the disney club?

Sounds interesting, tell us more!! Like where you bought them and how much they cost?

I purchased my vouchers through Disney travel but even though there are 4 in our party I only purchased 2 packages of vouchers. Here is a link to mousesavers which discusses it in detail http://www.mousesavers.com/dldining.html
I'll post when I get back (unless someone beats me to it) whether they still honor a 10% disney club discount. That would mean that you could potentially get a 20% discount on eating.

We were there for 5 day but bought the 4 day meal plan for each person through Disney Travel Co.It was enough to eat 3 times a day and I love to eat LOL. We shared snacks but usually got our own meals. I was asked if I had a Disney Club or AP so I guess they would have given me the discount if I had that. You can always buy a 3 day meal plan if you plan of eating some meals off property or in Downtown Disney. The nice thing is it included the Plaza Inn breakfast with Winnie the Pooh and friends...that would hav been $62 for the 4 of us plus a breakfast at Club Buzz that would have cost $30. The snack vouchers are great also, each one was $5.25 so if you bought 2 drinks or 2 churros or basically 2 of anything the differnce you would pay is less than a buck. A great way not to carry so much cash. Just make sure you don't carry them all at once so if they get lost or whatever you aren't out all that money. I carried enough for the day and kept the rest in the safe in the room.:D

It really sounds like a great idea. I think we will purchase the 4 day plan. I think it will be enough for us. I will be so glad to have some meals paid for before we go.

Thanks for all your help. ;)

Jennie
