Disneyland Diamond Celebration June exercise challenge -- making dreams come true minute by minute!

Bummer! I've used Runkeeper app, a Garmin watch, and the Fitbit Charge HR. Garmin is the most accurate in my experience. Some days there are issues with the satellites so that could be your problem, too. :confused3

Been shopping them for a little bit, and Garmin is probably the direction I want to go. Just need to pick my specific one -- and save a little money, of course.

I've tried the Garmin and the TomTom - both of them worked well. I just didn't like them as I found it to be a bit too bulky for me. I now run with my Apple Watch and find it to work well for me.

I'm back from chaperoning the 6th grade overnight trip! The kids were great, the camp was beautiful and I got in lots of exercise! Every activity was either at the top of a hill or the bottom of a hill. Apparently no one values flat ground the way I do. :charac2:
60 minutes Thursday chasing kids
60 minutes Friday chasing kids
150 minutes run/walk today
620/1200
OH! I Even caught a glimpse of Bambi- so precious.

60 minutes of HITT cardio, upper body strength, and upper body stretching brings me to 480/1100.

Today was tough, the HIIT was not too bad but the upper body work out kicked my butt. It was also my first time using a physio ball and I could feel my core muscles burning in addition to my shoulders. I have a feeling I'm going to be quite sore tomorrow and this was only day 3 of week 1. I can't wait to see what the fitnessblender people will throw at me by week 8 haha.

It pays to take some time to figure out what features each on has and what you need. I have the Forerunner 210 and it works for me but if you do interval running it only does 99 intervals and they have to be in minute increments. I do shorter intervals so I have to use Runkeeper for that. Then I have my FitBit so run with way too much technology! :rotfl: Save yourself if you can! ::yes::

Oooo, Apple Watch! :cool2: Tell me more! :earseek: Does it do Bluetooth? Are you using an app? How is the battery life? :hyper:

Sounds like a tough workout! :cool2: I'm so glad you mentioned this -- I need something for rest days and this might do the trick. :goodvibes

The Disneyland Diamond Celebration rolled out six new desserts that will stay as long as the celebration does. You can read more about the special offerings here http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/bl...ond-celebration/?CMP=SOC-FBPAGE20150613150000 courtesy of Disney Parks Blog.

It bluetooths to my cell phone. For runs, I use RunKeeper now as they have a decent ability to compare outdoor runs. I haven't had any issues with battery life, even on days where I wake up at 4AM, work all day, use the work out app for 90 minutes at the gym, and then go out with my husband or friends and get home at like 11PM. At that point, it was down to like 20% I do charge it every night as its just easier to have it in a routine like that. I love it for text message replies when you just want someone to know you saw it but don't feel like getting your phone out of purse/pocket.

Maybe I'm weird but none of those really excite me.

Pilates + Yoga!

66 minutes today
I "went running" with my sister - we went in opposite directions on the same (circular) path with different walk/run intervals at different speeds, but it was really nice to pass each other a few times during the run and to walk to/from the park together.

547/1100

I'm too lazy to do the math on whether or not that gets me to Paint the Night Purple, but if it doesn't, I should make it there tomorrow!

50 of minutes of standing abdominal work and a short cardio/toning workout brings me to 530/1100. I'm not nearly as sore as I feared yesterday, which is good haha. We're at a local amusement park, so I have no idea how tomorrow will go when it comes to a work out, I do have one planned but have the flexibility to move it to my rest day because it's an extra work out outside of the program I'm doing. My diet is shot because we just got back from the Cheesecake Factory...oh well, back to clean eating when we get home :)

DH couldn't get the mower started either! We had to wait for the neighbor to come home and it started for him lickity split! He showed us the trick. Then poor DH mowed and mowed and mowed our knee high grass! I'm glad he did it because I wouldn't have had the patience!

No walk for me tomorrow because I have to be at work early. drat I'll still get my swim so that's something.

I think those desserts look like a lot of work for pastry chefs! mmmm

Sounds interesting! Thanks for sharing! :cool2:

60 minutes on the bike. A little slower than normal because I'm trying to be easy on my knee this week, but still sweaty :).

Hope the knee is feeling better soon! :flower3:

Have been forgetting to post, have been keeping up with at least a short walk most days.

That's the nice things about our challenge -- every minute counts. :goodvibes

10 min since last post. Wasn't a very good exercise weekend for me, even with camping! But it's going to be a better week!

Hope it was a fun camping trip! :thumbsup2

You missed it by three short minutes so today for sure! ::yes::

Glad that you were able to find someone who could start the mower -- would have been nice to know the trick ahead of time. :lmao:

122 minutes walking and working around the house and yard brings me to 646/1000.
