Monday 5/2/22 first park day
Arrive in Anaheim area 8 pm Saturday 4/30/22
Our 3rd party tickets are at will call. Because they are 3rd party no one on the phone or chat can look them up. 🙄

Do you think it would help to buy new one day tickets so I can at least have our 2 first day DAS selections made? Then I can use the credit from the expired tickets to upgrade once I’m there.

Thanks for your opinions.

ETA 5 adults will have tickets. It’s just us and our kids tickets with issues.

Just do it when you get there. It's honestly going to take like 5 minutes. And then you can select your rides throughout the day without having to stick with the prebooked ones and their strict return windows. That can really mess with the rest of your day.

Can't the 3rd party seller provide ticket numbers for you to link? I don't have experience with DL tickets, but that's how it works at WDW. Even "will call" tickets have a ticket number associated that you then link to account. That then allows you to make park reservations, book DAS Advanced Selections, and on your first morning buy/schedule Genie+ and/or I$LL.

I purchase tickets through a 3rd party and have never had them at “will call”. Where is that? I paid for my tickets and they were emailed to me. I was able to link them and make my reservations. You need to have reservations and my experience is that you can’t go up and expect reservations the same day.

I’m a bit anxious about no reservations too.

I just saw this part. You can't make reservations without tickets. Who did you buy them from? You NEED to get ticket numbers so you will be able to make reservations once they open up for your dates. Do NOT show up expecting reservations to be available. When they get close to a date that has low sales of day tickets, they move reservations to the magic keys and they do disappear for day guests. You have NO guarantee of being able to get reservations when you show up.

In addition, as mentioned there is no "will call" at Disneyland. Tickets are all digital now and you must have linked tickets on the app in order to make a reservation and enter the parks. I would be VERY wary of a third party seller who did not immediately provide ticket barcodes by email and is telling you they need to be picked up at will call. That's not a thing.

It was LMTC and they are not helpful at all.
I’m confident the tickets are there because others that purchased them this way were able to pick them up. But the only way to do so is in person. 🤦‍♀️

Should I just buy our 5 day tickets now? I can go pick those other ones up at some point and purchase tickets for next year. Or try to get them to refund me based on seeing that I purchased new tickets.

This wouldn’t be an issue except for the reservation system. They should be able to make placeholder reservations for me. It’s ridiculous how unhelpful they’re being.

I understand them not looking up ticket numbers and giving them to me. They need to see my ID since anyone could call and say they were me to get ticket numbers.

These are tickets purchased in 2019 and I didn’t get ticket numbers.

Get a refund. Buy new 5 day tickets. I would absolutely not make a trip down here without tickets and reservations.

LMTC is being unreasonable. There is no reason why you can't digitally send them a photo of your ID and credit card to verify your identity and email you the ticket numbers.

Thanks. I’ll buy tickets now. The planner in me was going crazy.

Sorry, I don't see it as Disneyland being unreasonable at all. Why in the world should they make "placeholder reservations" for someone who can't prove they don't have actual tickets?

She wasn't saying Disneyland should do that, but the travel company that sold her the tickets and won't give them to her.

I think DL should have made me placeholder reservations. There was no reservation system in place when I purchased tickets in 2019. Or I obviously wouldn’t have purchased them. I have my proof of purchase. The way they have me enter it on the chat it won’t pull it up. It’s likely a communication issue. Whatever. I just bought new tickets. I just feel like I shouldn’t have had to due to their reservation system.

Well, I disagree that Disneyland has any responsibility to make you a reservation. They don't do that on anyone's behalf. I thought you were saying LMT should have made you a reservation, which I would agree with, but they can't really do that, as reservations are linked to your Disney account and can't be made on someone else's behalf.

Glad you bought your tickets directly through Disney, though. Now you can actually plan your trip. Good luck getting a refund on the other tickets.

It isn’t due to their reservation system, it’s due to you have no proof that you actually have tickets.

Glad that you’ve bought tickets and can move forward with planning.

The tickets are now expired. If they were available in my app would I be able to use the value and upgrade to new tickets? I thought that could only be done in person. They need to make reservation arrangements for guests that had tickets expire due to covid.

Tickets retain their original value and can always be upgraded but you have to do that in person too. The reservation system is what it is and it didn't exist back when you bought the ticket, so Disneyland is under no obligation to make you a reservation with tickets you did not purchase directly from them. If you HAD purchased them directly, you might have more options. This is the risk of purchasing discounted third party tickets.

I know they have no obligation. But they don’t seem to care enough to make exceptions for some unique issues that were nobody’s “fault” due to covid, expiration and the reservation system. The last person I talked to on the phone told me to just come because they probably wouldn’t have a reservation system by then. 🙄
