Well, here we are for the third year trying to purchase tickets to the DL Candlelight Procession and after two hours their site has crashed again. Why does Disney insist on selling tickets through their website when it crashes year after year? This is like trying to make Palo reservations on the Disney Cruise Line site. It is times like this that make me feel like Disney really doesn't care about it's guests. They can run enormous theme parks on computers, but they can't run a reservation-based computer system? Well, thank you for this place to vent. I don't feel better, but I appreciate being able to get it off my chest among folks who might understand.

Just an update - the site is down for the rest of the night. Disney has posted a message that ticket sales are rescheduled for Wednesday night. So, we all get to do this again tomorrow. Sigh...

Well that stinks. I hope you get the tickets you want

That stinks. Unfortunately, for us folks out here at DL, the CP is only 2 nights. Miss it and well, you missed it.

Looks like it's a bust for us, anyway. I wanted to go, but I just signed up for a continuing education seminar to go to all day that Saturday, leaving Sunday to do everything else. :sad1: Those things are an expensive, but necessary way to keep my professional certifications and networking up!

Just wanted to let you know how Day 2 played out. At 6 pm the link for purchasing tickets appeared. My daughter and I logged in right away and were able to place the tickets we wanted to purchase in our shopping cart. My wife never got in the site. By 6:15 pm the link on the main page was gone with a message to try again in a few minutes.

For 2 1/2 hours my daughter and I clicked the button to take us from the shopping cart to check out without success. Finally, the site came alive again. I entered my credit card information and received a message that the tickets I selected were no longer available. So, I selected another restaurant and was able to successfully purchased them about thirty minutes later. By the time my daughter was able to get to checkout all venues were sold out.

At about 8:25 pm, the site's main page came alive and messages listing the sold out restaurants and times began to appear. Ironically, as soon as all the venues sold out the link to purchase tickets reappeared.

So, we were able to purchase tickets but only after a very frustrating and un-Disney-like experience. Yet, Disney will probably not make any changes to their system since they know guests will put up with it and buy the tickets no matter how difficult the experience. I have no doubt we'll have a great time at the processional.

What happened to Faith, Trust and Pixie Dust?

I'm really happy for you that you were finally able to get tickets. I went to the site myself to see how they were and what was avail. and we decided that we would just see CLP at WDW.

Fast forward to twenty minutes later and I called my sister to ask her if she would like to go to Disneyland this Saturday with us. She tells me that she can't but on 12/6 one of her company sponsors is giving her park hoppers and tickets for "something called the CandleLight Processional" for her and the family!:rotfl: Go figure!!! She didn't really know anything about it but I told her that she would love it-at least I hope so.

Have a wonderful time. We may try and go and get the cheap seats-maybe!popcorn::

Happy Holidays!! :santa:
