This video was shot in Disneyland California on Boxing Day 2005. Despite capacity crowds I was impressed by the park’s sit down policy, which gave everyone a nice clear view.

The original California show has a couple of major differences to the Florida remix and not just in the score. Not only do you get the mighty Peter Pan sequence on the beautiful Columbia tea clipper and the full compliment of characters aboard the Mark Twain, but also the setting is on the Magic Kingdom’s lake.

The original plan whilst shooting this video was to shoot the highlights of the show over two nights. However this could not be done due to illness.

I have stuck to my original plan and with some careful re editing and reframing of shots managed to put together what I envisaged.

We seem to have a Mickey who loves to rock at the end of the show. Enjoy.

ps this is a fast HQ stream but is 15mins in length please allow the white line on the neptune server to move across. If you are unsure there are instructions on the blog..

Dont forget to leave your comments, views..

Thank you so much for posting your video! My girls and I have seen the WDW Fantasmic many, many times but are headed to DL this June and can't wait to see the DL version.

You will love it, keep staring at tom sawyers island during the day thinking, this its where its going to happen, then make sure you get a good spot in the evening... You will love the columbia peter pan sequence, the size and scale is an open jaw moment, try to ride her during the day if possible...

Thanks again -- where exactly were you located to get that good view? How early did you get there?

Thanks for posting - they are great!

What kind of video camera did you use?

You have to remember this was christmas day so you may have to adjust depending on when your trip is.. We were just left of New Orleans (looking towrds the lake), I wouldnt get too hung up on best spots the bad spots are obvious but everywhere else will give you a good view. As I mention in the blog if you get there early a roped off area is for floor sitting only. If you time it right you can stand at the rope and therefore have no one infront of you. 20mins before did it for us..

I doubt thees an exact science to it though

great video, thanks for sharing! we rarely have the time or patience to sit for 3 hrs before the show anymore...but it's my favorite...I perform it for my friends...um...yeah...what a sad, sad, person I am...lol :rotfl:

By the way, Danny and Jackie, we enjoyed your Disneyland movie as well. My 13 year old (who is very good with computers) thinks you two do a great job with iMovie.

Thanks for the compliment..Dont use ivideo though its not very powerful or flexible, at the moment I use videostudio 9.0 with a few plugins attached.
