Does anyone know, if the bricks in the Esplanade can still be purchased? I missed out the first time....

Sorry, they longer sell the bricks. I don't know why they stopped. There's still plenty of room to put more in.

My mom still gets mad at herself every single time we're in the esplanade and she remembers not biting for one of those. They stopped selling the sponsorships in 2011, which is just about when I became a real adult with disposable income to spend on one

Yeah, me too! It burns me that we did not get one!
Anybody know WHY they stopped selling them? I have heard its because they are going to Re-purpose the Esplanade......

I'm not sure, but the sponsorships were only good for 10 years, so after that they can remove them. But they sold them for so long that if they did repurpose the esplanade, they'd just refund any bricks they remove before their sponsorship period is up.

I bought one for a friend for their Birthday as part of the last wave before they shut down the sales...according to the paperwork it will be there for 10 years at least...but they can move them if necessary within that 10 year span.

It is a great novelty, but if they have any long range construction plans for the esplanade it makes sense to just stop sales let the clock run out on the rest as the monetary value of the bricks to Disney is minimal.

My DL Brick is a few feet from the DL turnstiles, I love it. Bought in right before they stopped selling them, too. I am so happy with the location, my WDW brick is out by the TTC and I never see it.
