Disneyland Band and DCA entertainers

Does the DL Band play every day, or only on certain days?

I see from another thread that the DL band starts out as a bigger band in the AM and breaks into smaller bands in the PM, and that you never know specifically which is playing where because it doesn't specify on the schedule (or something to that effect, I was a little confused on this point).

However, looking at the schedule for the week we're there (August 9-14), the DL band is not listed on the calendar at all. There are a number of lesser known shows/entertainment listed for DCA on Friday and Saturday (August 8 and 9) but nothing from Sunday on. These are Five and Dime, Red Car Trolley News Boys, Citizens of BV, Mariachi Divas, and a number of others.

Second, I'm assuming the schedule is complete at this time and that this information is correct -- these entertainers won't be at DCA Sunday-Thursday. Does this sound right?

Five and Dime, The Red Trolley Newsboys, Citizens of BVS (not a musical group, but in character CMs who interact with guests) play every day, as far as I know. The musical groups who play at Paradise Gardens change daily. Mariachi Divas play on Sundays. Saturdays (and usually Tuesdays) are usually the Ellis Island Boys. Also, the daily schedule is never "final" -- anything can change right up to the last minute!

It is strange the the Park Atmosphere entertainment isn't showing up for DL on your dates. It looks like they have redesigned that section of the site recently, so maybe there was a technical mistake there.

Your entertainment should be at full swing, with the Disneyland Band, Straw Hatters, and other small groups playing mainly in Town Square, FL, and New Orleans Square. There should also be musical chairs with Alice and the Main St. piano player in the middle of the day, as well as rock/pop performances all night in TL. I think the Dapper Dans performed Sundays and Thursdays last time I checked.

Also, the Disney All American College Band plays in the afternoon/evening. Make time to watch, they are great!!

The DL Band is normally off on Tuesday/Wednesdays during the summer while the All American College Band is around. Once the season is over, they usually take Wednesday/Thursdays off.

We're there most of those dates and the DL band *was* on the schedule on the website. It's probably just a technical issue as PPs have suggested due to the switchover to the new site. You can always call Guest Services and ask.
