Disneyland app update

Folks, I've just downloaded/installed the latest DL app update, which was released yesterday. It's meant to fix bugs and improve overall performance. Glad to hear that. I've had trouble with it for awhile. It was slow and would crash at least 30% of the time. The first time I launched it, it hung up on the "Signing in to your account" for several minutes. I restarted it and now all seems to be fine. The real test, of course, will be on Sunday when I test/use it in the park.

Has anyone else here updated and used it in the park yet? In my case, it's always been slow. True, I have an iPhone 6s. I believe that in every release efficiecny was supposed to be improved but I've yet to see it. Anyone else?
 
Last time I went 2 weeks ago, it was working fine. I was playing around with the app today and it didn't crash at all, so hopefully it behaves this weekend. I noticed though that when I got the iphone XR back in December the app crashed less than when I had my 6 Plus. When I had my 6 Plus I was constantly having to turn the wifi off or shut the app down and reopen it. So it could just be that the phone processor is slower. I'm not a techie though so I could be wrong lol

I suspect you’re right: the processor is likely slower. We’ll see how things go on Sunday.

I’m out joyriding in this Porsche right now :-).

If it’s my consolation, I’ve always found the Disneyland app much more reliable than WDW’s MDE app when doing my remote wait time checks (i.e daydreaming). Both apps are bad though, I normally need to open a couple of times before it sticks.

Disney seriously needs an overhaul of their IT department...

I had a 6s until recently and always had problems with the app freezing, crashing, etc not to mention the battery drain. Even the updates that Disney put out didn't seem to help at all as far as app performance goes.

I see this sentiment a lot and I think Disney IT gets too much flack. It's very hard to write code that will guaranteed work 100% of the time without crashing/some type of bug. Especially when they have to code for so many different operating systems and types of hardware.

Aaaannnnd that's all the encouragement I need to finally upgrade my 6S!
 
Can someone help, please. Downloaded the Disneyland App, set up acct and started loading my 3 day hopper passes with max pass. Unfortunately after uploading all the passes I realized I swapped my pass in my name for my husbands pass so I tried to delete pass and the delete function does not work, it grays out and then the wrong info still there. Hmmm clarification all 4 passes uploaded but my name is on 2 different passes because of how I set up the App. All passes ordered from UT and each pass has the correct name assigned it just I uploaded them incorrectly.

Above other spoke about Calling Disney for assistance I have not found any HELP area or phone # or a FAQ area on the app.
Advice??? Pretty please? Or a # for a help desk? Ty

Can't help with that but just wanted to say GO DUCKS!

I am pretty sure there is nothing you can do short of calling Disney IT. And even then I am not sure. I would look on Disney's website for that.

Need an IT help desk????
I would call the “ticket” line at 714-781-4636 & then let them transfer you to I.T. if needed. They may be able to access your account & fix it without even needing I.T.
