Disneyland announces new 2023 deal

I saw a commercial for Disneyland that they have announced a new deal for 2023 where you can go to any park for $104 but the commercial doesn't mention if park reservations are required to entry to the parks at the end and is slated to run until February 23rd. To me when I heard about this deal it sounds like Disneyland has finally gotten rid of the park reservations system for 2023 and bringing back the old no reservations format they originally had. It also sounds that Disneyland has improved itself and now has lowered ticket prices for 2023 and they might get even more visitors to the parks this year

There has been no word on removing Park Reservations and as of now all tickets require them. That said, one change was that they were including making the reservation at the time of ticket purchase (for single day tickets), so these are more like "dated tickets" for that specific date. So it's still a reservation, but you likely can't purchase these tickets without one (I am not sure if the reservation could be changed after the fact or not).

This isn't really a new deal. $104 is just the price of the one day one park ticket (Tier 0) the cheapest "off season" dates and after February 23rd we start getting into the higher priced seasons of the year so there are just no dates set at Tier 0 for the rest of the year probably. It is open to anyone and it looks like the first day of the year that is Tier 0 is January 9th and it is a dozen or so weekdays in January and February that fall in this Tier. You can only use a Tier 0 ticket on Tier 0 days so it is sort of a dated ticket because you do make the reservation for a specific date at the time of purchase but if you want to change to a different date after you can as long as it is another Tier 0 date.

No, it isn't a promo, it's the standard pricing for a one-day adult ticket midweek. I've seen the same TV commercial in Northern California. Here's a sample of when one-day $104 tickets are available:



I don't know why the ad mentions Feb. 23 because according to the park reservation calendars for one-day tickets, the last date for the $104 rate is actually Feb. 8.

DLR has had this in place for quite some time now (requiring a date when purchasing directly for both multi and single day tickets). Since at least Summer 2021. Not a recent change.

Yeah I saw that ad on TV I think and laughed as it’s super misleading. It’s not really a discount, they’re just telling you the tier 0 price. And most likely, you’re not going to want or be able to go on those dates.

As an aside, I wouldn’t worry about reservations on those days - you should be able to get reservations no problem on a tier 0 day even last minute.

You have to pick your day for the single day tickets, and I believe that makes you a reservation automatically. But if you decide not to go you can always cancel the reservation, and use the ticket another day. I think you’ll just have to pay the difference if when you try to go is a higher priced day.
