Well my family and I have planned this trip to Disneyland/DCA for about a month now, and we planned it to be on saturday. The catch is that it is going to rain though. Would it still be a good idea to go even if it rains? Does anyone know if all the attractions would be closed or anything like that? Thanks in advance.

Only a few select rides will close due to rain. Based on last Friday (when it was raining), I would guess these rides would be closed:

Teacups
Alice
Winnie the Pooh (I don't believe this one closes unless it's really pouring)

They will also cancel the holiday parade if the ground is wet and they will cancel fireworks if it is raining hard or if there is upper level winds.

Oh thanks a lot. So if there is lets say a drizzle, they will still keep matterhorn or finding nemos submarine ride open?

This is what I remember too from that day. The little ones went on Winnie the Pooh ride, but it was when the rain had stopped.

They don't actually cancel the parade, they have what is called the"Rainy Day Parade", which is the characters in a double decker bus waving as they drive by. The street was packed 4 deep for the 6:30 parade and luckily we knew what to expect and went on a lot of rides while people waited for the parade. As those people returned to the rides, we heard a lot of complaining about waiting for an hour to see that @$%^@#% parade.

Crebs, don't let the rain detour you from having a good time. Disneyland can be fun in any weather. Just be prepared.

Your right, thanks a lot for the help. Ill make sure tomorrow is a fun day

lucky... the rain that was suppose to go on all week long stopped this morning...

Some of my kids favorite trips to Disneyland have been in the rain. They still talk about "how good the hot dogs and hot chocolate were in Toon Town IN THE RAIN" and "remember how short the lines were WHEN IT RAINED?" There are many more things they remember about our rainy-est trip. Apparently the rain was credited for what made everything better that day. We had cozy family times getting out of the rain, discovered things we may not have ever made time for and tried new restaurants! Have a fabulous time! :woohoo:

One plus of going when it rains is that it keeps away a lot of the local crowds and makes the waits/crowds lighter. Pack a poncho or buy one and have fun. Rains in socal are rarely that bad and it will clear up and you will have a great time.

crebs, have a great trip tomorrow!!
Rain at DL=good thing!:thumbsup2 My dear friends returned recently from DL, and their favorite day of the trip was the "rainy Saturday!" They just got ponchos, and made the best of it.

The kids loved the novelty, and ride lines were almost non-existent!:umbrella:

I agree with what everyone else has said! As long as you dress for the weather, you can still have a great time!

[As a plus though, the rain does seem to prevent the crowds from getting too large at the park- which is always nice!] :]

You guys will have an awesome time!

Regards,
Lorealle

Will the cancel Fantasmic in the rain?? We have PS ressies and I am getting nervous....

I heard only if it's really coming down will they cancel F!

Not to worry, though. I live in soCal and the rain has stopped for the most part. I think if anything tomorrow will just be passing showers here and there.

Have fun!

We'll be there tomorrow and Sunday as well- I'm hoping for no rain at parade time, but *IF* it has to rain, I'll take a drizzle over a downpour LOL

Also praying the Grapevine doesn't close!

Wow, I was kind of bummed out finding out it was going to rain... but now im really excited again, hopefully my family will be able to cope with the weather. Thanks guys. Also, I just looked up the weather in anaheim for tomrrow and it says 30% chance of rain. Maybe ill post some pictures when i get back :goodvibes
