I have never been to DL. So bear with me as I don't know. How bad is the Monday-wed of Thanksgiving week? Also do that have a separate party like DW that you have to pay for christmas? I am very used to DW when we lived in Fl.

Disneyland has Oogie Boogie Bash from mid-August through Halloween. Disneyland does not have an after hours party during the holiday season. During that time, Disneyland is open from 8 am - midnight and DCA is open from 8 am -10 pm (11 pm on some days). Those staying in a Disney owned hotel receive 30 min early entry into DL on Tu, Th, Sat and into DCA on Su, M, W, F. There are no special evening hours for hotel guests.

Yup, that holiday week will be busy. (The week before and after will likely be slower.). We often go during spring break- before and after Easter, busy Saturdays- I think if you rope drop and utilized the LLMP well, you can navigate the crowds. (I like to have a nice sit down meal or watch a show during peak afternoon hours.)

Thanks. Unfortunately due to other things going on in our lives I need to save the days my kids are absent for those things vs Disney.

I've gone Thanksgiving week before and it was fine. Things at DL are actually a bit topsy turvy. Often, holidays are less crowded than non-holidays. You might even get better crowds than a supposed "off-season."

My absolute favorite time to go to DLR is the week of Thanksgiving. We go Thurs-Sat because it's when we have time off. In our experience, Thursday and Friday are busy, but not unmanageable. Saturday gets much busier, but morning and evening are still great. If I could do Wed-Fri I would probably do that, just because then I'd avoid the Saturday crowds.

Anyway, it's my fave and I don't find it to be unmanageable.
