DH and I are tossing around the idea of going to DL this December. I have only been to DL once and that was 14 yrs ago before I moved to California. We have been to WDW twice and both trips were in December. I fell completely in LOVE with WDW so I think I'm just a bit skeptical about going to DL. There does seem to be a slight more cost as far as the the resorts are concerned as compared to WDW resorts. But then of course I would have to buy airfare to Orlando. But with that part put aside what I really want opinions on is do you think that I'm going to be disappointed by going to DL?? True....no Epcot, no Hollywood Studios, and no Animal Kingdom and no dining in Sleeping Beauty's castle so I'm keeping that all into perspective.
What do you think???? Pay the airfare and go back to WDW or make the seven hour drive and go to DL???

Thank you
Jan

If I lived in Cali, I'd get myself an AP and book myself at either AP rates at Disney hotels or even cheaper hotels/motels on Harbor. And I would be there as often as I could be there until I got sick of it. :goodvibes I went to WDW too and if was fun and immersive, but DL is different and more special. And it's practically right in your backyard.

ETA: sorry I didn't see your 2nd post 'til after I posted...
