I would love to hear experiences about the"Walk in Walt’s Footsteps" tour. I am thinking about doing it for my Birthday! :woohoo:

Also... since I'm buying a multi-day pass and the Birthday free admission won't apply... does anyone know if the "gift card" thingy they give you instead can be used for tours? :confused3

Thanks!

Dh and DMIL did this tour on our November trip and both LOVED it. DH is a Walt buf and was thrilled to get a peak at Club 33. He said it was definatley worth the price. They did the afternoon tour which ended with a sandwhich plate after the tour. He wasn't too excited about the meal as he would have rather had dinner in DTD instead of a cold sandwiche

If you love Walt Disney and are not very familiar with the history of Disneyland itself, the tour is a must do. You will learn a lot about the park itself and hear some stories about Walt and his family spending time in Disneyland.

As a veteran Disneyland afficianado, I actually already knew most of the park history shared, but the family stories were quite neat and fun to hear. By myself, I would not take the tour a second time, but would not hesitate to do so with friends looking to experience the tour.

I think the tour is especially useful for WDW veterans making their first visit to Disneyland.

For a non regular guest at Disneyland, seeing how the tour takes around 3-4 hours and does not include a lot of rides, especially the major ones, I recommend having a 3 day or more park hopper ticket so it doesn't take away from attraction time. It comes with a meal and a special pin. Assorted discounts such as AAA, Disneyland AP, and Disney Visa may apply.

Yeah... I'm A WDW vet but a DL newb. Well... it's not my FIRST trip to DL... but second... and it's been a while! Plus we will have three full days in the park and two partial days on our travel days. Our flight gets in early Sunday morning (9:00 am) so we will actually have almost 4 full days and one partial day.

I think I really want to do it! I've always wanted to do the Keys to the Kingdom tour at WDW but never made the time.

I have a Disney Visa so could get a discount, but I'd still like to find out if the Birthday "gift" can be used towards tours. Let me go try and navigate the slow, annoying "official" site! (Does anyone but me find official Disney sites extremely UN-user friendly???)

My friend and I took the tour last September for my birthday and it was enjoyable.
The tour was very educational if you didn't know a lot about Disneyland, however, it is true that it is "light" on rides so if a person did not have much time, I wouldn't suggest it.
We also took the "Cruisin DCA" tour and we both absolutely loved that one!
I highly recommend it! It was really a lot of fun to ride the Segways and being in DCA before it opened was really neat! Our guides were great!
I don't think it is possible that you could use the birthday card for the tour as I believe that you have to pay for the tour when you book it!
Have fun!
