I'm panicking I need to know if these tickets can be bought at the park ticket booths. My base just informed me that they no longer have them in stock and I do not feel Like driving to San Diego to buy the tickets. I called Disney and got 2 CM that said I could buy them there and 3 that said I could not .

You'll probably get a more accurate response if you ask in the Disneyland section of the forums... :)

YES. We just got back from Disneyland a week ago. And we DID purchase them at the gate. Make sure you bring your I.D. because sometimes they'll ask to check your I.D. when they scan your ticket. Anyone who accompanies you will also need to bring their's.

Have fun! Hopefully this releases this stress of yours.

Agree with the PP. My base had computer issues the day I went to purchase our tickets. We walked up to the ticket window, showed an ID card, and paid. It was very simple.

We did this in Feb. and purchased them at the gate.

Did You have to Jump through any hoops to get them were did you go to get them at ? I ' m kind of scared to get there and I get shut down . I land in Ontario at 4:30 6/1 and would have to haul butt to Camp P . just so much to have to deal with traffic.

It will be my wife, me and 4 kids they wont need any kind of identification right?

I'm trying to avoid going to Camp P though .

I can understand that but did you read the other posts? The next post has Pendelton's phone number and said that they do mail tickets and the one after that from CF the ticket expert says that you can pick them up at any ticket window at DL.

Looking at the Pendelton site they are $97.25 each with no tax and at DL they will be $99 with tax, so even with the cost of having them sent, it is probally cheaper to call and order them from CP.

If you want to have tickets in hand before you leave, I would call Pendelton and have them sent. If it is not important then pick them up at the ticket window.

I think my biggest worry is that they don't get here in time . I'm really mad at them here in VA because they said they would order them and that they get mailed to the store . I ordered them on the 12th and I called yesterday to check the status and they informed me they could not order them that they had to be picked up in San Diego I was pissed. Why not call me and tell me this then instead they said well we never charged your credit card. I'm going to try my luck at the gate I just wanted to have the drop on everyone going into the park now I will be in line for tickets . I was so worried I didn't even see the post you were talking about lol thanks Dan

Disney Military Promotional Tickets can be purchased at participating U.S. military sales outlets only by active and retired U.S. military personnel for themselves and up to five additional family members or friends. No more than six Disney Military Promotional Tickets may be purchased and (if applicable) activated by any eligible member of the U.S. military (or spouse) pursuant to this offer. In addition, all six must be purchased at the same time and one of the six must be for use by the eligible member of the U.S. military (or spouse). Valid military identification is required.

For information regarding Disney 3-Day Military Promotional Tickets for admission to the Disneyland Resort (including official eligibility requirements, restrictions and black-out dates), or to make room reservations at the Disneyland Resort, military personnel may call (714) 956-6424 or participating U.S. military base ticket offices.

NOTE: It says "can" be purchased at military sales outlets. It doesn't say "must"

if you look further at the questions and answers, it says "Disney Military Promotional Tickets for Disneyland Resort can be bought at the gate with proper identification."

So, the answer to your question appears to be "YES" you can buy it directly at the gate/ticket booth with proper identification.

When my dad used these tickets late last year, the children in the group did not need to show ID (even though the child was 10 and was an adult by Disneyland ticket standards....)

:thumbsup2 only ID carrying adults need to show ID not minor dependents.

The tickets are not taxed if you buy them at the gate. DH and I bought two military salute tickets at the gate in April, and we paid, total, $198 even.

The caveat to buying them on base, or so our MWR told us, was that the tickets needed to be purchased 2 weeks prior to your trip. We took a last minute trip, so that wasn't possible for us.

I called Guest relations and they told me no tax which I do find odd but whatever. So were going to get them at the gate which opens 30min before park opens I hope this dont mess up my touring plans who cares I will be at DISNEY!

California doesn't tax amusement park tickets (at the moment anyway...I know the previous governor was attempting to get a tax passed, but I don't think it has as of yet)

There are no "hoops" to it. It's the exact same as buying a regular park hopper, you just have to show an active duty military ID and get an awesome deal. That is all. It's so much easier than going through the base ITT, in my opinion.
