Thanks. Yeah, I don't care for the reserved standing area, I'll go to the late parade and I'm also ok with staking out a spot. This trip is really about seeing the 70th entertainment rather than rides

Hi.. I got here on Thursday night and will return home tomorrow.

A) 70th tour
I did today; wouldn’t recommend it or do it again.
The guide was fun, and kept us entertained with DL history tips, however nothing that hasn’t been widely known before (ie, how was the experience of the multitudes on opening day, what opening day attractions are still running..)

Highlight was some Walt Disney audio nuggets in the audio device through the tour. And a very nice pin.

The LL was Mickey Minnie railroad. The seating area is for the first PTN parade near the flag pole in Town Square, facing...

Honestly - if they end up pulling out the stops - and if the event gift is something really cool - I'm gonna be jealous of both of you.

We received an email with updated timing today. In it, it said, "We want to ensure our friends from Walt Disney Imagineering and the Walt Disney Archives have plenty of time to talk with you about the evolution of this attraction"

The initial description of the event said, "Plus, D23 Gold Members will enjoy an exclusive pre-show introduction by Walt Disney Imagineering Portfolio Executive Creative Producer Jeff Shaver-Moskowitz, who’ll chat about creating this magical experience and bringing Walt to life!"

Friends (plural) from WDI and the Archives sounds like more than just Jeff Shaver-Moskowitz

lol, I mean.....I kinda get it but also wish it was just a line there goes my chance of seeing one of the first hour shows there

Also for those being like we dont have Q space, we have the area behind main street they could open because I do not think this attraction will get insane lines for longer then a few weeks

Anyway for the most part this should work just sucks I wont be seeing this show until they tell me when unless they allow rope droppers the first hour...because im willing to wait to be in the first shows for this

Not unexpected that this would be a VQ initially. The question is just how popular this attraction will be with the general public and not just the Disney nerds like us here.

My next trip was not supposed to be until 2030 but I am trying to figure out a way to make a short trip sooner rather than later.

I totally agree. This anniversary must be so highly anticipated that we needed VQ.

FYI the PTN times beginning I believe August 4 or 11 revert back to 8:45 and 10:45 (instead of 8:50 and 10:50). It must have had something to do with the additional "darkness" the 5 minutes added during late June and July (the longest days of the year). Fantasmic and Wondrous Journeys appear to remain at 9:05 and 9:35.

We just yesterday morning (Saturday). The keys were in stock as of Friday night when I was last at the emporium. It was a fun scavenger hunt. We only cheated once, lol

Reading through the 70th info on yesterday's Disney Parks Blog, referring to A Magical Life, it says,

At the conclusion of the show, as you leave the theatre, you’ll get to see just how… “Disneyland will never be completed. It will continue to grow as long as there is imagination left in the world.” – Walt Disney The exit lobby will preview projects and moments of how Disneyland will continue to move forward, as well as showcase how it has done so for decades.

I don't remember seeing mention of that before.
