Disneyland 70th speculations and news

I wanted to ask the tour guides if they knew anything about the 70th tour. Unfortunately, by the time I got to the tour kiosk, they were closed. I did, however see what looked like training of new tour guides. And they walked off of the train and then road the Mark Twain.

I asked some CM in Guest Relations if they knew anything about the 70th A Story of Celebration Tour. They said, "You've got the right people." I asked if they knew where the parade viewing area would be.
Guest Relations: "We only have one parade viewing area - at Town Square."
Me: "I thought Plaza Inn was using that for their dining package viewing area."
Guest Relations: "We share it. Tours watch the first parade and dining package watches the second parade."
Me: "The dining package confirmation states that their viewing will be for the first parade."
Guest Relations: "It does? Hmm, well I guess tours will watch the second parade."
Me: "So if I have a 9:15 am tour, I'll be watching a 10:45 pm parade?"
Guest Relations: "Yes."

@joseph821 your person sounded more knowledgeable. Or maybe I'm just hopeful that their information was more accurate.

This interaction is awesome and something I've done several times with CMs. You ask 10 CMs and you'll get 10 different answers. There's no way the dining package or tour is for the 10:45pm parade.

The whole sharing space thing is no bueno. I wonder if it's that reason they may not have not have the viewing location in front of the train station.

I was hoping to see the office and/or the new animitronic. If neither are a part of the tour I'm out. I've enjoyed their tours in the past. The fireworks in front of the castle for the Halloween tour 2 years ago was awesome.

I booked the 70th tour for May 21 @9:45! I hope we get a good spot for the parade and the fireworks (that would be a nice bonus). I've only read about the last 5 pages of this thread.
When I was looking at park hours I see that DCA has a special ticketed event on May 21 and 22 @9pm. Does anybody know what that event is and if the tickets have gone on sale for it? I couldn't find any info on it. Thanks!!

We still don't have any timings or further details on the Tapestry of Happiness projections at small world.

Wonder if that will overlap with paint the night and fireworks...in which case the small world viewing area might be great.

I noticed on the official DCA schedule for May 16th and after there is STILL not official times posted for the Better Together Parade. We're now just 2 weeks out, so this is feet dragging even for DLR's often slow entertainment schedule posting.

My assumption is the parade will be at 2:30 and 5:00 since the dessert package says it's for 1:45 and 4:15, scheduled for 45 minutes before the parade. We shall see.

I'm trying to plan my day, I'm going to Disneyland at least until the little Duffy and friend's mini parade and want to know when I need to be in DCA and from there I'm at DCA until WOC and then back to Disneyland until midnight

Has anyone had success booking the Plaza Inn PTN package? All dates in late-June and early July are showing no availability for various party sizes. I don't think it's sold out, because I was on there right at 6:00 am PT. I'm assuming they're just releasing times slowly, but it's a bit odd.

Keep checking. Some days the time slots which vary from 8 to 10 are released at 6AM PST and if not, released later.
I must tell a lot of the dates for the package have been selling out. But I agree they cannot be sold out at 6AM PST.

Thank you. I am now seeing it. I will just keep checking throughout the days I want if it's not there right at 6:00 am PT. I'm sure it will also open up as the date draws closer and people cancel.

I'm not surprised it would sell out, but right at 6:00 am PT was a bit bizarre!

I've had no luck....to me its always funny I want to Give Disney money and they are like "nawwww we are good, we could just rope off more area and let people pay not to wait" To me its weird where Disney will nickle and dime you at every corner and other areas they just leave money on the table

Plaza Inn is not having a dining package on July 4. There are PTN tours available on July 4 so I assume the parade is happening.

May 17 has a 9:15 am tour available. Are you looking for Plaza Inn Dining?

ETA: June 15 is Father's Day. Plaza Inn has special dining on Mothers Day and Fathers Day.

This dining package will not be available June 14 to 16, 18; July 4; August 17, 2025.

Plaza Inn is not having a dining package on July 4. There are PTN tours available on July 4 so I assume the parade is happening.

That's going to be quite an experience with PTN on the 4th plus the hub crowds. I will be at DLR, on the 4th. We are doing DL in the morning and plan to spend time in DCA late and watch WOC with the pre-show.
