Disneyland 1/2 Marathon

Slight changes in CA Adventure, no run down Main Street, but we're going through Angel's Stadium once again this year!

Slight detour coming out of Angels Stadium area to make up distance.

No more finish through Downtown Disney. Instead, exit CA Adventure, loop around Paradise Pier hotel, and back to finish line near Disneyland hotel.http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/dining/diningdetail.cfm?Restaurant.ID=396

Just got the newsletter this afternoon. I was a little disappointed not to be running down mainstreet, but what can you do. :confused3

In case anyone is wondering about capacity, the newsletter said that the half-marathon is 65% full.

I booked at the HoJo's for DL 1/2 marathon weekend after reading so many good things about the hotel. This is probably a dumb question, but I haven't been to DL since before DCA was open. I just want to make sure... it'll be possible to walk through the area between the two parks to get from the hotel to the start line, right? Or do we have to go north around DL park? Thanks!

yes, you can walk between the 2 areas, and right though Downtown Disney to the starting area.

It will be a short walk to get to start line from the HoJo. I'm guessing about 10-15 minutes.

I haven't signed up yet...I'm really struggling with some, actually lots of, pain in my knee and will be seeing a sports doctor tomorrow. I have been doing the elliptical a hour a day and about every other day trying to run a mile on the TM. Today was my best mile in a couple of weeks, but far from pain free.
I really want that Coast-to-Coast medal and right now I don't care what route they run-I just want to be there running.
Everyone have a great rest of the day-

It appears to me, that the first overpass next to the Mickey & Friends Parking lot has been eliminated!

We will now be exiting somewhere Backstage onto Disneyland Drive. I think near the bottom of the downslope of the overpass, just before the right hand turn onto Ball Road.

Whoo hooo, one less hill. :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl::laughing:
